1.Effects of vasopressin and adrenaline on cerebral resuscitation in rats undergone cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Chinese Journal of Emergency Medicine 2011;20(3):277-280
Objective To compare the effects of vasopressin and adrenaline on cerebral resuscitation in rats. Method Sixty male SD rats were used to set the animal model of cardiac arrest and were randomly (random number) divided into 4 groups (n = 15/group): sham operation group (sham-gro), negative control group (neg-gro), vasopressin group (vas-gro) and adrenaline group (adr-gro). Blood pressure was recorded, and brain tissue samples were obtained. Results There was no significant difference in the recovery rate between vas-gro and adr-gro 30 min after resuscitation (P <0.05). The mean blood pressure in vasgro was higher than that in adr-gro within 30 min (1,2, 5, 10, 20, 30 min) after restoration of spontaneous circulation. The measured MDA, SOD and GSH were significantly different (P < 0.05) between each two groups among vas-gro, sham-gro and adr-gro. Conclusions The recovery rate was similar between vasopressin group and adrenaline group during cardiopulmonary resuscitation in rats. However, vasopressin can to maintain the mean arterial pressure at a higher level after resuscitation, which can the increase the cerebral perfusion and reduce brain cell damage.

3.Effects of Maca on kidney mitochondrial respiratory function and anti-aging capabilities in aged rats after exhausted exercise
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2016;20(18):2711-2716
BACKGROUND: Studies have shown that Maca can enhance immune cel function, improve mitochondrial respiratory chain enzymes, and play a role in anti-oxidation and anti-aging.
OBJECTIVE: To observe Maca effects on kidney mitochondrial respiratory function and anti-aging capabilities in elderly rats after exhausted exercise.
METHODS: 10-month-old elderly rats were intragastrical y administrated Maca powder 5 g/kg, once a day, and did treadmil exercise, 5 days in a week. Rats were randomly divided into control group, Maca group and training group and Maca+training group. At 6 weeks after training, rats in each group did exhausted exercise (35 m/min), and immediately received intraperitoneal injection of 2% sodium pentobarbital. The kidney was obtained, and mitochondria were extracted by differential centrifugation. A spectrophotometer was used to measure mitochondrial respiratory chain activity.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) Mitochondrial respiratory chain enzyme and antioxidant enzyme activity: mitochondrial respiratory chain enzyme I-III, superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase activities were higher in the Maca+training group than in the control group, Maca group and training group (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01), but malondialdehyde content was lower (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). (2) Results suggested that the combination of supplement Maca and incremental exercise can improve mitochondrial respiratory function and delay aging in the kidney of aged rats after exhausted exercise. Moreover, supplemented Maca and incremental exercise have a synergistic effect.
4.Effects of Hormone Replacement Therapy and Sport Walk with Weight on Serum Lipid and Bone Mineral Density in Postmenopausal Women
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2008;14(10):974-976
Objective To explore the effects of estrogen, sport walking with weight and estrogen plus sport walk on serum lipid, bone metabolism and bone mineral density(BMD) in postmenopausal women. Methods 52 postmenopausal women were divided into the hormone replacement therapy(HRT) group(n=12),sport walking with weight group(Sp group,n=14),HRT + Sp group(n=12) and control group(n=14).HRT group took compound nylestriol,Sp group took sport walking with 5 kg weight and exercise intensity was from 60% to 80% VO2max,HRT+Sp group received two treatments as HRT group and Sp group. The experimental duration consisted of six months. Results The total cholesterol(TC),TC/high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),alkaline phosphatase(APL) and urine calcium(Ca)/creatinine(Cr) were markedly lower in three experimental groups than the control group and before experiment(P<0.05 or P<0.01),HDL-C in Sp and HRT+Sp groups were markedly higher than the control group and before experiment(P<0.05),BMD of spine(L2~L4) and left trochanter in three experimental groups were markedly higher than the control group(P<0.01) and before experiment(P<0.0).Conclusion Both estrogen replacement therapy and sport walking with weight effectively improve serum lipid, prevent and reverse osteoporosis induced by menopause in women.

7.Correlation research between plasma homocysteine and diabetes and pre-diabetes
Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2012;(36):20-23
Objective To discuss the correlation between plasma homocysteine (Hcy) and diabetes and pre-diabetes.Methods Participants included 115 patients with diabetes,150 patients with abnormal glucose tolerance diagnosis for pre-diabetes and 131 cases without blood glucose abnormalities crowd as control. All the basic informations of the subjects were recorded detailedly.Multiple factors regression analysis was completed. Results Development of diabetes single factor correlation analysis result showed that history of hypertension, hyperlipidemia, body mass index (BMI) ≥ 24 kg/m2,high Hcy were positively correlated with development of diabetes, and life rules was negatively correlated with development of diabetes (P < 0.05 or < 0.01).Development of diabetes multiple factors correlation analysis result showed that history of hypertension, hyperlipidemia,BMI ≥ 24 kg/m2,high Hcy were the independent risk factor for development of diabetes (P < 0.05).Development of pre-diabetes single factor correlation analysis result showed that hyperlipidemia,BMI ≥24 kg/m2,high Hcy were correlated with development of pre-diabetes (P < 0.01).Development of pre-diabetes multiple factors correlation analysis result showed that hyperlipidemia,BMI ≥ 24kg/m2,high Hcy were the independent risk factor for development of pre-diabetes (P < 0.05).Conclusions Plasma Hcy is intimate correlated with diabetes and pre-diabetes,and it is an independent risk factor for development of them.In clinical work, the patients with high Hcy need to give the necessary intervention.
8.Treatment of fracture of elbow joint with internal fixation
Chinese Journal of Orthopaedics 2001;21(2):97-98
Objective To describe the methods of treatment of fresh and old fractures of the elbow joint with internal fixation. Methods Ten cases of fracture of the elbow with complete records were reviewed; 9 of them were male and 1 female; 6 of them were Han people and 4 Tibetans. The average age was 31 years. Four cases had open fractures and 6 had closed fractures. Among the cases of open fractures, 3 were treated with routine debridement and internal fixation of the fragments or internal fixation plus advanced skin flaps. One was treated as closed fractures after wound healing. The 6 cases of closed fractures were treated with a single tension band wiring, tension band and screw fixation, or screw fixation. Results The mean duration of the follow up was 8 months. Fracture healing was seen at 3- 4 months. The range of motion of fresh fractures of the elbow and forearm was 4.2° - 144.2° . The old fracture cases had the range of motion of 31.3° - 115° without restriction in pronation and supination. Conclusion The intra articular fracture of elbow joint must be treated with early surgery to attain anatomical reduction with firm internal fixation. Early functional exercise is also important for the recovery.
9.THE CLINICAL FEATURES AND DISCUSSION OF SURGICAL OPERATION FOR DUODENAL TRAUMA
Chinese Journal of Bases and Clinics in General Surgery 2001;8(3):156-158
Objective To study the clinical features of duodenal trauma and its surgery to improve the level of diagnosis and treatment. Methods Methods of diagnosis and results of surgical treatment were analysed retrospectively of 35 cases of duodenal trauma. Results The positive rates of abdominal X-ray and abdominal puncture were 32.0%, 13.3% respectively. The extraperitoneal duodenal injuries occured in 30(85.7%) cases. 25(71.4%) cases were complicated by additional intraabdominal organ injuries. The rate of failure to diagnose intraoperatively was 11.4%. The postoperative complication rate was 37.1% and the death rate was 11.4%. Conclusion Duodenal trauma is characteristic of low diagnostic rate preoperatively, high failure rate intraoperatively and most of the cases are complicated by other intraabdominal organ injuries, so both the complication and mortality are high. If the diagnosis is certain, surgery should been taken suitably. This is the key to improve prognosis. The procedure performed is based on the condition of duodenal injuries.
10.The Status of Self-controlling Blood Pressure and Factors of Hospitalization in Primary Hypertensive Patients
Chinese Journal of Prevention and Control of Chronic Diseases 2001;9(2):60-61
Objective To investigate the status of self-controlling blood pressure and their hospitalization reasons in primary hypertensive inpatients. Method A cross-sectional survey was performed in 206 patients with primary hypertension in the hospital. Results The 58 patients did not know that they previously suffered from hypertension. They had to be in the hospital as stroke or cardiovascular disease. Those who had measures of self-controlling blood pressure were taken a proportion of 59.22%. The proportion of those who regularly took drugs was only 10.68%. The regular checking rate of blood pressures was 12.14%. Because there was not any or irregular measures, it was increased that the hypertensive patients with stroke or cardiovascular disease in the hospital. Conclusion It is one of the major factors for increasing patients with hypertension in the hospital that lacking the know-ledge which is relevant to prevention and treatment of hypertension. The results indicated that medical staff on non-communicative diseases prevention should educate the hypertensive patients, enhance self-protecting awareness and encourage them to cultivate health lifestyles and simultaneously take comprehensive prevention and treatment measure on hypertension. These suggest it be also necessary to carry out health education in border town especially in rural area and minority nationality regions.
