3.The signal-regulated networks of HIF-1α in hippocampus region after epileptic seizures
International Journal of Pediatrics 2012;39(5):513-517
Hypoxia-inducible factor-1(HIF-1) is a key factor in hypoxic response of cells. It plays an important role in embryonic development, cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage,hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, neurodegenerative diseases, cancers and other physiological or pathological processes.Studies have confirmed that in developing rats, the expression of HIF-1 α mRNA and HIF-1α in hippocampus after status epilepsy enhanced obviously, and it is related to proliferation of neural stem cells.Although some experiments have explored the relationship between certain signaling pathways and HIF-1 α,no experiments come to the signal-regulation in the expression of HIF-1α after epilepsy.
4.Midline catheter insertion through peripheral venous for giving medications in elderly neurogliocytoma
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2013;(5):555-557
Objective To compare the effects of two types of peripheral venous insertion of catheter in elderly patients with neurogliocytoma. Methods A total of 336 neurogliocytoma patients received intravenous drug treatment were randomly divided into two groups:midline catheter group (n =168) and periphery catheter group (n=168).The time course of venous insertion of catheter, frequency of insertion, time of catheter reservation, incidence of insertion complications and degree of satisfaction in patients were recorded. Results The time course of venous insertion and the time of catheter reservation were longer in midline group than in periphery group [(25.3±1.8) min vs.(0.8±0.1) min,(27.5±1.0) d vs.(2.9±0.4) d,respectively, both P<0.05].The frequency of insertion and the incidence of phlebitis were lower in midline group than in periphery group [(1.1±0.3) vs.(12.2±0.4),8 cases (4.8%) vs.51 cases (30.4%),respectively,both P<0.05].There were no significant differences in catheter occlusion, migration and removal between the two groups (all P> 0.05).The degree of satisfaction was higher in midline group than in periphery group (89.0% vs.63.0%,P < 0.05).Conclusions It is suitable for elderly patients with neurogliocytoma to recieve intravenous drug treatment by midline catheter insertion.Midline catheter insertion can reduce the incidence of phlebitis and puncture damage, and elevate the degree of satisfaction.
5.Strategy of differently located urinary fistulae after kidney transplantation
Journal of Chongqing Medical University 2007;0(09):-
Objective:We summarized the therapeutic results of 68 differently located urinary fistulae after kidney transplantation in order to approach optimal treatments for them. Methods: Between December 1994 and July 2008, fistulae were observed in 68 of 1263 patients (5.4%) after kidney transplantation, including 26 lower fistulae and 42 upper fistulae. The former included vesical fistulae and stoma fistulae, while the latter included ureter fistulae, pelvis fistulae. The location of fistulae was determined by cystography, magnetic resonance hydrography(MRH) or operation research. In both groups we first adopted conservative treatment which was placing a negative pressure drainage tube draining the wounds and placing a double-J catheter or a urinary canal in,however,if invalid,we resorted to surgical repair. Subsequently, therapeutic efficacies of differently located fistulae observed. Results: Twenty of 26 lower fistulae(76.9%) were cured successfully by conservative treatment For the remaining 6 cases(23.1%),we had to turn to open surgery, among which 5 were cured and 1 underwent nephrectomy because of acute rejection. Only 8 of 42 upper fistula(19.0%)were cured by conservative treatment, but the other 34(81.0%)cases accepted open surgery among which 29 were cured, and 3 underwent nephrectomy owing to acute rejection (1 case)and failure of surgery(2 cases), and 2 died of pulmonary infection. The achievement ratio of conservative treatment in lower fistulae was significantly higher than that of upper fistulae(76.9% vs. 19.0%,P
6.Chronic hydrocephalus following aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage
Journal of Chongqing Medical University 2003;0(06):-
Objective: To study predictive factors of chronic hydrocephalus among patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. Methods;Thirty two patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage were retrospectively studied. Results; The morbidities of chronic hydrocephalus between patients were more than 60 years old and less than 60 years old, Hunt-Hess grade III - V and I -II , posterior circulation aneurisms and anterior communicating artery aneurisms and the other aneurisms, time of bleeding were significantly different statistically ( P
7.Fluorescence in situ hybridization in multiple myeloma
Journal of International Oncology 2010;37(9):703-706
Multiple myeloma (MM) is a malignancy of the plasma cells, characterized by complex karyotype and chromosome instability. These cytogenetic changes are important prognostic indicators in MM patients. Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) can analyze a large number of interphase cells without metaphase. It is simple, reproducible, highly sensitive and specific. It has more prominent advantages in the research of MM without informative metaphase. FISH can detect microdeletions in genetic loci that are closely related to disease prognosis, therefore significantly improves the abnormal clone detection rate. FISH provides a theoretical foundation for the diagnosis, clinical classification and prognosis prediction, and can guide the personalized therapy of MM.
8.Progress on proteome of rheumatoid arthritis
International Journal of Pediatrics 2010;37(3):240-242
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease affecting joints. Proteomics is a new field of studying the protein and its dynamic axiom of transmutation in cells. Two-dimensional gel electrophoresis, mass spectrometry and bioinformatics are the three major technology. Recently, the research in rheumatoid arthritis proteomics has made great progress. Application of proteomics technology is designed to study the pathogenesis from the proteins levels, finding out the marker proteins in order to improue RA diagnosis, treatment and prognosis.
9.Clinical value of combined detection of AFP, CA125, CA199 and CEA in the diagnosis of primary hepatic carcinoma
Cancer Research and Clinic 2008;20(6):385-386
Objective To study the clinical value of combined detection of the serum levels of AFP, CA125, CA199 and CEA in the diagnosis of primary hepatic carcinoma (PHC). Methods Serum levels of AFP, CA125, CA199 and CEA in 68 patients with PHC, 50 patients with benign liver disease and 58 normal controls were measured by Electrochemiluminescence immuno-assay (ECLIA). Results The levels of AFP, CA125, CA199 and CEA in PHC group were significantly higher than those in benign liver disease and normal controls. Sensitivities of AFP, CA125, CA199 and CEA were 76.4 %, 35.3 %, 44.1%, 29.4 %, respectively. Sensitivity of combined detection of four kinds tumor markets was 94.1%. Conclusion Combined detection of four kinds of serum tumor markers is useful to increase the detective positive rate in the diagnosis of PHC.
