2.Relationship of chronic hepatitis C with interferon treatment and thyroid diseases
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2013;29(7):631-633
The article explores the relationship of the hepatitis C virus infection with interferon treatment and thyroid diseases and reviews the subtypes of the thyroid diseases.Autoimmune and nonautoimmune cases of thyroiditis are often seen in patients with chronic hepatitis C while undergoing interferon treatment, especially in females with positive thyroid autoantibodies.Graves' disease is very rare. The thyroid function may be as a transient thyrotoxicosis, then followed by hypothyroidism. The thyroid function in patients with nonautoimmune thyroiditis is usually easy to recover.
3.Cellular immunoresponse in patients with severe drug resistance-falciparum malaria and results of combined treatment of quinin, SMP and thymogen
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):7-11
The study was carried out on 52 patients with severe falciparum malaria: 26 cases were treated by quinine, SMP in combination with Thymogene (control group). The results showed that: There is a reduction on cellular immune response in severe malaria. Thymogen has contributed to increase the immune response in comparison with this before treatment. Thymogen has contributed shortening time to defervescence, clearance of parasitaemia and coma duration in 2-days after treatment in comparison to control group. Thymogen also has contributed reducing mortality in severe malaria

Objective To discuss the application problems of double lumen endobronchial tube. Methods According to the ancient teaching experiences, some overlooked announcements were given that have included tube standard, pre-checking, the application of intubating forceps, the estimation on depth of penetration and the monitoring on arterial partial pressure of oxygen. Results The perioperative security of patients was increased. Conclusion The problems can be observed to help young anesthetist better application of the tube, and has good generalization value.
5.Research progress of mesenchymal stem cell-antitumor gene complexes in cancer treatment
Cancer Research and Clinic 2013;25(11):788-791
Mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) possesses highly self-renewal properties and potential ability of multiple differentiations. The homing and directional migration of MSC to tumors makes MSC uniquely destined as a potential anti-tumor gene carrier.MSC itself is discovered involved in remodeling the tumor microenvironment and regulating the biological behaviors of tumor cells such as invasion, proliferation and migration.Anti-tumor genes, such as tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosisinducing ligand (TRAIL) and phosphatase and tensin homologue deleted on chromosome 10 (PTEN) combine MSC to constitute a complex dually targeting tumor cells for destruction, but no damage to normal tissue. However, many questions remain to be answered and the precise mechanisms remain unclear. In this article, the current situation and prospects of the homing mechanism of MSC,the effects of MSC to tumor biological behavior and MSC-antitumor gene complex for tumor therapy are reviewed.
6.Cervical expansive unilateral open-door laminoplasty:implant, bone graft and complications
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2013;(52):9069-9076
BACKGROUND:Cervical expansive unilateral open-door laminoplasty has obtained definite curative effects in treatment of cervical spondylosis in the clinic.
OBJECTIVE:To summarize the effects of cervical expansive unilateral open-door laminoplasty for cervical spondylosis from the evolution of surgeries, the advantages and disadvantages of each surgery and postoperative complications.
METHODS:Unilateral open-door, expansive laminoplasty, indications, and postoperative complications were key words. Computer was used to search VIP journal ful-text database and PubMed database, and 65 articles were used for further analysis.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Cervical expansive unilateral open-door laminoplasty for multi-segmental cervical spondylotic myelopathy, ossification of posterior longitudinal ligament and spinal cord injury without radiographic spinal fracture and dislocation combined with spinal stenosis had obtained affirmative outcomes. Clinicians should careful y select operation mode and be conscious to prevent postoperative complications.
7.Effect observation of improved senile entropion operation
International Eye Science 2014;(7):1354-1355
AlM: To observe the clinical effect of modified tightening operation of orbicularis combined with lower eyelid retractor muscle aponeurosis suture in the treatment of senile entropion, and to improve reference for clinical treatment planning.
METHODS:A retrospective analysis from August 2009 to August 2012, 218 cases of patients with lower eyelid entropion were treated in our hospital, according to the different operation methods for the observation group 128 cases and control group with 90 cases. The observation group was treated with modified tightening operation of orbicularis combined with lower eyelid retractor muscle aponeurosis suture, control group with suture plus margin incision for treatment. Follow-up of two groups were 1a, the clinical curative effect at 1mo and 1a postoperatively was observed.
RESULTS:The observation group healed in 124 cases at 1mo after operation, the cure rate was 96. 9%, the control group cured 84 cases, the cure rate was 93. 3%. The differences of cure rate in two groups were not statistically significant (P>0. 05);the observation group healed in 111 cases at 1a after operation, the cure rate was 86. 7%, the control group cured 58 cases, the cure rate was 64. 4%, the recovery rate of observation group was significantly higher than the control group (P<0. 05).
CONCLUSlON:The modified senile entropion operation has good curative effect, and the operation is simple, the recurrence rate is low, it is worth popularizing.
8.A PRELIMILARY SEM STUDY ON COCHLEAE
Acta Anatomica Sinica 1955;0(03):-
Cochleae of guinea pig, cat, and human fetus were studied under SEM. After tbe treatment with osmic and tannic acids, they were dehydrated by a critical point drier, then coated with carbon and gold, and observed under a JSM-35 scanning electon microscope. The organ of Corti looks like a spiral staircase winding around the modiolus. It is wider at apex and narrower at base. The vestibular membrane is composed of squamous epithelia covered with microvilli. The tectorial membrane is mainly composed of parallel fibrils, but at its surface and marginal region, the fibillae interwoven. There are three rows of outer hair cells (OHC) and one row of inner hair cell (IHC) in the organ of Corti, and the head plate of pillar cells is set in between both kinds of cells. The stereocilia of OHC are arranged in W-form, whereas those of IHC are in a curved arrangement. All the cells observed have microvilli, however, in some of the animal specimens, the stereocilia are irregularly arranged, damaged or entirely disappeared owing to noise exposure. In the four-month fetal cochlea, the cuticular plates of OHC looks just like velvet balls, which afterwards become W-shaped stereocilia, while on the surface of IHC, primitive hair bundles develop into a curved arrangement.Certain broken organ of Corti shows cylindrical body of OHC and its cup-like supporting structure. Phalangeal processes of Deiter ceils and OHC are obliquely arranged forming an angle. The pillar cell body is thin above and thick below, and twined with very thin nerve network. The tunnel cavity can be exposed by removing the roof structures, then longitudinal nerve fibers going along the tunnel bottom may be clearly seen. These fibers belong to the spirotunnel bundle——an efferent branch of olivo-cochlear bundle.
9.KARYOTYPE ANALYSIS OF FASCIOLOPSIS BUSKI
Journal of Chongqing Medical University 1986;0(04):-
In this study, the karyotype of Fasciolopsis buski has been investigated by the air drying method. The results show that the diploid number of chromosomes is 2n =14. The means and standard deviations of the relative lengths, arm indices and centromeric indices of the chromosomes have been calculated. According to the nomenclature recommended by Levan et al (1964), the karyotype of F. buski obtained consists of one pair of large-sized metacentrics (m), 2 pairs of medium-sized metacentrics (m), one pair of medium-sized submetacentrics (sm), one pair of small-sized metacentrics (m), one pair of small-sized submetacentrics (sm) and one pair of small-sized telocentrics (t).Idiogram of chromosomes has been constructed from measurements of 19 good metaphase spreads in mitoses. The karyotype of F. buski of this paper is compared with that reported by Gao et al (1952). Statistically, there are very distinct differences (p
10.Radiotherapy for unresectable advanced pancreatic cancer
Journal of Chongqing Medical University 2003;0(05):-
Objective:To study the treatment result of the unresectable advanced pancreatic cancer by radiotherapy. Methods: A total of 16 patients with unresectable advanced pancreatic cancer were treated by radiotherapy from March 1996 to December 2001. According to TNM staging system, there are 5 patients in stage II, 6 in stage Ⅲ and 5 in stage Ⅳ. Karnofsky score were ranged from 30~70. Eight patients were treated by the conventional fractionation (1.8~2.0 cGy/f, 5f/w), and eight patients treated by non-conventional fractionation(1.2~1.8Gy/f,2~3f/d).The radiation dose was70Gy for 3 cases. Results:The remission rate was 85.7 percent. The median survival course was 9.2 months(3~30months). 1-year survival rate was 31.25 percent. The pretreatment performance status and TNM stage were important prognostic factors. Both groups of Karnofsky score 60~70 and stageⅡ,Ⅲ showed a highly significantsurvival improvement when compared with groups of Karnofsky score 30~50and stage IV ( P
