1.Moral judgment and its relationship with theory of mind in patients with autism spectrum disorder
Chinese Mental Health Journal 2017;31(5):366-370
This article reviews the moral judgment ability of patients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD),as well as the relationship with theory of mind (TOM).The study found that patients with ASD could undertake basic moral judgment, but could not provide the corresponding judgment reason, and were easy to make utilitarianism judgment. In addition, individual's moral judgment ability was positively correlated with TOM,while there were defects in TOM among the patients with ASD,which could lead to the skew results of moral judgment.

Objective: To explore intelligence and the relation between intelligence and learning achievement of the students with learning disability (LD) in junior high school Methods: The students with LD in junior high school were classified as three groups: mathematic LD group, Chinese LD group and multiple LD group WISC-CR was applied to the three groups and control group The results tested by WISC-CR and their learning achievement were analyzed by multiple stepwise regression analysis Results: The IQ of students with LD was in normal range in general, but the IQ differences between LD groups and control groups was significant Nine subtests scores of mathematic LD group were lower than that of the control group The primary problem of Chinese LD group was that all the verbal subtests scores were lower than that of the control group The imbalance between VIQ and PIQ of multiple LD group was obvious The factors affected language achievement were verbal IQ and the subtest sores of arithmetic, comprehension and vocabulary as well The factors affected mathematic achievement were verbal IQ, performance IQ and the subtest sores of arithmetic, information and block design as well Conclusion: The structures of intelligence were different in the students with different types of LD in junior high school Different intelligence factors affected the achievement of language and that of mathematics of the students with LD in junior high school

OBJECTIVEPeriodontal tissue remodeling includes remodeling of alveolar bone, periodontal ligament, and cementum. Cementoblast plays a main role in repairing root resorption. Canonical Wnt/β-catenin signaling can promote the odontogenic differentiation in osteoblast. However, the mechanism on how the orthodontic force influences the function of cementoblast and the relationship between the canonical Wnt/β-catenin signaling and Runx2 of cementoblast are not yet known. The aim of this study is focus on this relationship.
METHODSOCCM30 cementoblasts were subjected to mechanical strain by four-point bending system with tension stress for 0, 3, 6, and 12 h. They were pretreated with different concentrations of Dikkopf-1 (DKK1) for 48 h. Western blot analysis was performed to detect the β-catenin levels in the nucleus. Runx2 mRNA was observed by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). OCCM30 cementoblasts were then pretreated with 150 ng · mL(-1) DKK1 for 48 h and subjected to mechanical strain by FX4000T system with tension stress for 12 h. Western blot analysis was conducted to detect the β-catenin levels in the nucleus, and Runx2 mRNA was observed by RT-PCR.
RESULTSOCCM30 cementoblasts had significantly higher Runx2 mRNA and β-catenin levels after being loaded with mechanical stress. The amount of Runx2 mRNA in OCCM30 cementoblasts was significantly decreased by DKK1. When OCCM30 cemento-blasts were pretreated with DKK1 without stress, their β-catenin level was significantly decreased by DKK1 and Wnt signaling was blocked. When they were not pretreated with stress, the β-catenin level with DKK1 was lower than that without DKK1. Without DKK1, the β-catenin level in OCCM30 cemento- blasts increased afterbeing loaded with mechanical stress. With DKK1, the β-catenin level in OCCM30 cementoblasts, which were loaded with mechanical stress, was higher than that without mechanical stress.
CONCLUSIONCementoblasts had higher Runx2 mRNA expression under mechanical stress because of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway effect.

Objective To investigate the penetrative ability of amlodipine gels and to evaluate their effect on the survival of rat dorsal ischemic random skin flaps. Methods 0.5 %,1.0 %,1.5 %,2.0 %,and 2.5 % amlodipine gels were made. The accumulative penetrative quantities of amlodipine through rat skin were assayed with a modified Franz's diffusion cell in vitro.Pure gel without amlodipine,0.5 % and 1.5 % amlodipine gel were respectively applied on rat random ischemic skin flap once a day for 7 days. The viable area was measured on the seventh postoperative day and the quantities of amlodipine within skin flap were also detected at 2 and 6 hours after application of amlodipine gel. Results The accumulative penetrative quantities of amlodipine increased in time-and concentration-dependent manner (P<0.05).Accumulative quantities of 0.5 % and 1.0 % amlodipine gel were lower than those of 1.5 %,2.0 %,and 2.5% gel, respectively (P<0.05).The quantities of amlodipine within flap tissue in 1.5 % amlodipine gel was higher than that of 0.5 % amlodipine gel (P<0.05).The survival area of flap in 0.5 % amlodipine gel group (391.4±65.4) mm2 was higher than those of the pure percutaneous gel group (192.9±56.8) mm2 and the control group (191.0±50.2) mm2(P<0.05),but no significant difference was seen between 1.5 % amlodipine gel group (265.7+88.3) mm2 and control group (P>0.05).Conclusions Amlodipine could penetrate into skin tissues.0.5 % amlodipine gel could significantly increase survival area of ischemic random skin flap.

Objective To investigate the features of the auditory mismatch response (MMR) elicited from the preschoolers and adults. Methods 9 preschoolers aged 3-6 and 8 adults were elicited and measured MMR to speech sounds (/bal/, /pal/) using the Oddball paradigm. Results The response was typical mismatch negativity in adults, and was slow positive waves with larger amplitude in the preschoolers.MNOVA results showed that there were significantly differences between the 2 groups, said the latency of MMRs was significantly longer and the amplitude was larger in the preschoolers than in the adults (P<0.05). Conclusion Stable MMRs with distinct characters in preschoolers and adults have been obtained respectively.
