AIM: To observe the clinical effect of Huangqi Injection combined with Shuxuetong Injection therapy on aged acute cerebral infarction and to observe the effect on patients' nerve injury extent and hemorheology parameters. METHODS: 83 patients with acute cerebral infarction were divided randomly into two groups Huangqi combined with Shuxuetong group(therapy group) and low molecule dextrose combined with weinaolutong group(control group). The two groups were both tested hemorheology parameters before and after therapy. And clinical effect was estimated according to the extent of patients nerve function injury. RESULTS: The effective rate and curative rate of therapy group were obviously different form control group(P

Objective:To evaluate the effect of continuing intervention on prophylactic application of antibiotics in sterile operation in urology department by clinical pharmacist to provide reference for the clinical prophylactic application of antibiotics. Methods:All cases of discharged patients underwent sterile operation in urology department of our hospital from July 2010 to June 2014 were divided into three groups according to the intervention time and methods: non-intervention group(n=141), stage Ⅰ intervention group(n=139), stage Ⅱ intervention group (n=162) and stage Ⅲ intervention group (n=137). The prophylactic application of antibiotics was statistically analyzed. Results:After the continuing intervention, the prophylactic application rate of antibiotics in the three inter-vention groups was decreased significantly from 100% before the intervention respectively to 34. 5%,18. 5% and 14. 6% after the in-tervention (P<0. 01). The rationality rate of prophylactic application was improved significantly from 36. 9% before the intervention respectively to 58. 3%, 63. 3% and 85. 0% after the intervention (P<0. 01). The course of prophylactic application was decreased significantly from (138.2 ±31.6)h respectively to (89.9 ±48.0)h,(72.8 ±32.5)h and(45.1 ±29.5)h (P<0.01) and the post-operative infection rate was decreased from 2. 8% respectively to 2. 1%,1. 8% and 1. 4%. Conclusion:The pharmaceutical interven-tion is feasible and valid to improve the rational prophylactic use of antibiotics in urological surgery.

Objective:To investigate the therapeutic range of tacrolimus and effects of tacrolimus on liver and re- nal functions and blood routine in renal transplant recipients.Method:The whole blood tacrolimus concentration was meas- ured by micro-particle enzyme immunoassay(MEIA).Blood tacrolimus concentrations in 390 cases of renal transplant re- cipients were analyzed. The effects of tacrolimus on liver and renal function and blood routine were also studied.Result: The blood tacrolimus concentrations in 377 of 390 cases were within the range from 3 to 15?g?L~(-1).Their blood tacrolimus concentration differed greatly in renal transplant recipients within 6 months after transplantation.Their blood tacrolimus concentration was gradually decreased as time went on.Tacrolimus with therapeutic dosage had no effects on liver and renal function and blood routine. Conclusion:The therapeutic ranges of tacrolimus with MEIA were as follows:5 to 15?g?L~(-1) within 3 months after transplantation,5 to 10?g?L~(-1)between 4 to 6 months after transplantation,3 to 10?g?L~(-1)6 months after transplantation. The administration of tacrolimus had no effects on the liver and renal function and blood routine in re- nal transplant recipients.

Objective:To express fusion protein of mouse thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) and HIV-1 gp120BAL V1/V2 subdomain in 293F cell. Methods:Full length of the V1V2 sequence from BAL isolate was fused with the C-terminus of mouse thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) and sub-cloned into pCEP-Pu vector to construct the eukaryotic expression plasmid-pCTV1V2BAL.The recombinant plasmid was confirmed by enzyme digestion and sequencing , then transfected into 293 F cells using PEI as a transfection reagent .The fusion protein was purified by metal chelate affinity chromatography and characterized by SDS -PAGE and Western blot . The epitopes of V1/V2 in fusion protein were identified by ELISA .Results:The SDS-PAGE and Western blot results showed that there were highly heterogeneous glycoprotein bands at the site between 35 kD and 55 kD, which reacted with anti-mTSLP rabbit polyclonal antibody and anti-His tag mouse monoclonal antibody .The ELISA analysis showed that antibodies to V 1/V2BAL existed in the sera of HIV-1 positive patients. Conclusion:The mTSLP-V1/V2 fusion protein was successfully expressed in 293F cells, which may be useful for HIV-1 vaccine research .

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the diagnostic value of endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) for submucosal tumors (SMTs) of upper gastrointestinal tract.
METHODSA retrospective analysis was made based on clinical data of 206 upper gastrointestinal SMTs patients from January 2009 to July 2013 in The First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University. Preoperative EUS findings were compared with postoperative pathological diagnosis, and the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of EUS diagnosis in property and layer origin of SMTs were calculated.
RESULTSThe sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of EUS diagnosis in SMTs property were 60.2%, 67.1% and 61.2%. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of EUS diagnosis in layer origin of SMTs were 98.0%, 98.2% and 98.1%.
CONCLUSIONEUS has limited value in the diagnosis of property of SMT, and has high accuracy of identifying the origin layer, which is helpful to choose therapeutic schedule of SMT under endoscopy.

Objective To describe the discovery of a residual foci of bancroftian filariasis in Fuchuan County where the disease was announced to have been eliminated, and reveal its epidemiologic feature. Methods The investigation was carried out from August 2007 to March 2008 among residents in Changtang village where the first caseof filariasiswas found and the neighboring villages. They were screened with two thick blood smears.Immunochromatographic technology(ICT) was conducted for those going out but returned and those in surrounding areas.Vector mosquitoes were collected and dissected to find filaria larvae.Historical documents were reviewed and relevant people were interviewed. Results In Changtang administrative village, 1 052 residents were screened and 19 cases with microfilaremia were found in 2 natural villages, with a Mf-positive rate of 1.8%(5.1% in Gangshang and 1.4% in Yinshan respectively). No Mf-positive case was found in 4 119 residents screened in other 3 villages. The average microfilaria density in the 19 cases was 17.37/60 ?l blood. All the 19 cases belonged to 12 families, and 13 cases were relatives to each other, which showed a feature of spatial clustering and family clustering.More patients were identified in the age groups of 20-29 and 50-59, and 57.9% of them were older than 50 years. No larvae were found in 54 Culex pipiens fatigans dissected. Conclusion The Changtang village is identified as a residual focus of bancroftian filariasis with a low, limited endemicity.More cases have been among the elderly with a low average microfilaremia.
