[Objective]To investigate the effects of bone marrow stromal stem cells(MSCs) on the bone defect around the implant and the osteointegration of implant-bone interface.[Method]Fifteen healthy clean New Zealand rabbits were studied.MSCs were separated,cultured and induced to osteoblasts.Cancellous bone defects(0.6?1.2 cm)were created in bilateral femur condyle in rabbits.Titanium alloy columns(0.3?1.0 cm)were implanted into both defects.Tissue engineering bone was implanted around the left titanium alloy implant,but only hydroxyapatite ceramic in the right.The biological characteristics were evaluated by X-ray examination,SEM,energy dispersive X-ray analysis and histologic studies at 4,8,and 12 weeks postoperatively.[Result] X-ray examination showed the density of bone tissue around the implant was aequalis.The interspace between implant and bone was filled with lots of bone trabeculae in the experimental group at 12 weeks postoperatively.The density of bone tissue was inhomogeneous,and low-density umbra existed in the interspace in the control group.Energy dispersive X-ray analysis showed the content of the Ca and P in the experimental group was statistically higher than that in the control group at different time points(P0.05.The ratio of Ca to P became higher and reaching the peak level at 8 week.Histological study showed the bone defects around the implant were repaired by new mature bone in the left at 12 weeks postoperatively,while in the right no new bone was found at any time point.[Conclusion]The compounds of hydroxyapatite ceramic and osteoblasts induced by MSCs can repair the bone defect around the implant and improve the osteointegration of implant-bone interface.

[Objective]To dynamically monitor revascularization and metabolism of tissue-engineered bone graft in repairing bone defects by radionuclide bone imaging.[Method]Twenty-four healthy New Zealand rabbits were studied.Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) were separated and cultured from bone marrow.Cancellous bone defects(0.6 cm?1.2 cm) were created on bilateral femoral condyles in rabbits.The compound of coral hydroxyapatite ceramic(CHA) and defects were treated with the induced osteoblasts inplanted into the left defects(experimental group).While CHA alone was used for the right(control group).The counts of regions of interest(ROI) was evaluated by radionuclide bone imaging at 4,8 and 12 weeks postoperatively.[Result]ROI in the experimental group was significantly higher than that of control group at 4,8 and 12 weeks postoperatively.ROI in either group had a tendency to increase with time.Eight weeks postoperatively,ROI in experimental group tended to increase at a lower speed,while ROI in control group had a tendency to increase at a higher speed.ROI in either group reached a peak at 12 weeks postoperatively.[Conclusion]The tissue-engineered bone graft is an effective method for repairing cancellous bone defects.Radionuclide bone imaging can dynamically monitor the changes of revascularization and metabolism of tissue-engineered bone graft.

Objective To explore the effect of dressing techniques under Orem self-care theory on the ability of daily living of stroke patients with hemiplegia. Methods About 96 stroke patients with hemiplegia were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group, 48 cases in each group. The patients in the experimental group received training on dressing techniques under Orem self-care theory, while those in the control group received routine training on dressing techniques.The daily life ability of both groups was comfared. Result After one month, the Barthel scores in the experimental group were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Dressing techniques under Orem self-care theory can improve the ability of daily living of stroke patients with hemiplegia.

Objective To evaluate the influence of ankle pump motor on deep vein thrombosis after surgical operation.Methods 138 cases of patients after surgical operation who were assessed as high risk patients,were randomized into the study group (70 cases)and the control group (68 cases),routine nursing was adopted in the control group,while in the study group,ankle pump motor was adopted in addition.The incidence of deep vein thrombosis was compared between two groups.Results No deep vein thrombosis was found in the study group,while 1 case of thrombosis was detected in the control group,but there was no statistic difference.Conclusions Ankle pump motor was easy and convenient,and can prevent deep vein thrombosis by promoting the reflux of the lower limbs,improving the recovery of patients after operation,and increasing nursing quality as well.

ObjectiveTo investigate the changes of serum apolipoprotein E (ApoE) in children with infectious diseases.MethodsA total of 279 pediatric patients with infectious diseases were enrolled in this study,including 65 patients with sepsis,47 patients with bacterial meningitis,67 patients with bacterial pneumonia, 47 patients with aseptic meningitis and 53 patients with mycoplasmapneumonia. TheserumApoEcollectedfromallpatientswasdetectedby immunoturbidimetric assay (IA).The septic mouse model was established by intraperitoneal injection of group B Salmonella typhimurium.Mouse serum ApoE levels were detected by IA,and the hepatic ApoE mRNA and protein expressions of mice were detected by quantitative real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and Western blot,respectively.Data in two groups were compared by independent-sample t test.ResultsSerum ApoE levels in patients with bacterial infections were increased dramatically,which was (59.8±23.5) mg/L in patients with sepsis (t=-5.118,P＜0.01),while no significant differences were found in patients with aseptic meningitis and myeoplasma pneumonia.Moreover,a high level of serum ApoE was detected in septic mouse model,while the hepatic ApoE mRNA and protein expressions of the mice were both decreased,with mRNA decreased 71％ at 3 hour (t=5.022,P＜0.01) and 73％ at 24 hour (t=4.181,P＜0.01).Conclusions Serum ApoE levels in bacterial infections increase dramatically,while its hepatic expression in septic mouse model is decreased,which indicates that the elevated serum ApoE level is not related to the changes of hepatic ApoE expression.

Objective To investigate the clinical value of serum glycyl-proline dipeptidyl aminopeptidase(GPDA)combined with carcino-embryonic antigen (CEA),carbohydrate antigen724 (CA724),carbohydrate antigen242 (CA242) in the early diagnosis of gastric cancer.Methods Collected in Changan hospital in patients with gastric cancer and atrophic gastritis patients and healthy subjects 60 cases,by TBA-120FR biochemical analyzer glycyl-proline dipeptidyl aminopeptidase (GPDA),chemiluminescence analyzer to detect the levels of serum CEA,CA724 and CA242,analysis of single detection and joint detection and the differences between the positive rate and sensitivity.Results The detection of GPDA in gastric cancer group was significantly lower than that in atrophic gastritis group and healthy control group,the difference was statistically significant (F=69.532,P=0.000).The results of CEA,CA724 and CA242 in gastric cancer group were higher than those in atrophic gastritis group and healthy control group,the difference was statistically significant (CEA:F=59.926,P=0.001;CA724:F=51.056,P =0.001;CA242:F =72.613,P =0.000).Serum GPDA,CEA,CA724 and CA242 single detection positive rate were 70 ％,45 ％,61.7 ％ and 50 ％.Tumor markers CEA,CA724,CA242 positive rate of three joint detection was 75％.Serum GPDA and tumor markers of CEA,the positive rate of CA724 and CA242 combined detection of four was 86.7％.The positive rate of three and higher than that of single detection,the difference was statistically significant (F=49.635,P=0.003).Serum GPDA,CEA,CA724 and CA242 single detection sensitivity was 70.2 ％,50.2 ％,67.3 ％ and 53.2％.Tumor markers CEA,CA724,CA242 three joint detection sensitivity was 85.6％.Serum GPDA and tumor markers CEA,CA724 and CA242 four joint detection sensitivity was 90.3％.The sensitivity was higher than the three items and the individual tests,and the difference was statistically significant (F=52.016,P =0.001).Conclusion GPDA joint CEA,CA724 and CA242 tumor markers detection can improve the positive rate and sensitivity in early diagnosis of gastric cancer,but it will not reduce the diagnostic specificity,the clinical diagnosis of early gastric cancer has important significance and value.

Objective To observe the effect of apolipoprotein E mimetic peptide (ApoE23) on lipopolysaccharide (LPS) levels in plasma and the regulatory role of ApoE23 on low density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) on liver cells in the septic mice.Methods An ApoE mimetic peptide was designed and referred terminologically as ApoE23 in abbreviation.ApoE23 was synthesized by using solid phase synthesis assay and were refined by using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).The peptide was identified and confirmed by using electron spray ionization mass spectrometry and amino acid composition analysis.The C57BL mice infected with Salmonella typhimurium group B were treated with apoE23 injected into tail vein.The plasma LPS levels were measured by using immunoturbidimetry.The LDLR expression and level on liver cells were measured by real time PCR and western blot respectively.Results The plasma LPS levels significantly increased and the liver LDLR expression decreased in the septic mice.ApoE23 treatment markedly reduced the plasma LPS levels and redressed the LDLR down-expressions on liver cells both in mRNA and protein levels compared to the septic mice without ApoE23 treatment.Conclusions The reduction of LPS level after ApoE23 treatment may be associated with the modulation role of ApoE23 in LDLR expression on liver cells,and ApoE23 may be a potential agent against bacterial sepsis as well.One of possible mechanisms was most likely associated with effect of ApoE23 on LDLR expression.

Objective To study the correlation between apolipoprotein E (APOE) genetic polymorphisms and sepsis in Chinese children.Methods The inpatients suffered with sepsis were enrolled as septic group and the healthy children from child health division were enrolled as control group.The study of APOE genotypes were carried out by polymerase chain reactions followed a high-resolution melting curve analysis.SPSS 16.0 statistical software was used for data analysis.Mann-Whitney U test was used to compare the age between the groups.Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium was tested using the Pearson x2-test.The x2-test was used to compare gender and the genotype distribution between the groups.The odd ratio (OR) was calculated together with its 95％ confidence interval (CI).Potential confounding effects of variables were corrected using a multivariate unconditional logistic regression model.All statistical tests were two-sided and P ＜ 0.05 indicates statistically significance.Results Among a total of 285 children collected from March 2011 to June 2012,there were 88 patients with sepsis and 197 healthy children.In the septic group,15 septic patients were complicated with central nervous system infection.Four apolipoprotein E genotypes were identified to be ε3/ε3,ε2/ε3,ε3/ε4,and ε2/ε4.The percentage of each genotype found in patients of the septic group and the control group was 64.4％ vs.73.1％ (ε3/ε3);16.8％ vs.10.7％ (ε2/ε3);18.8％ vs.14.7％ (ε3/ε4);0％ vs.1.5％ (ε2/ε4),respectively.The number of patients with the genotype ε3/ε3 among septic patients was significantly lower than that among the control individuals (P =0.047,1-β =0.334,OR =0.585,adjusted OR =0.559).The number of patients with the genotype ε3/ε3 among the septic patients with central nervous system infection was 33.3％,which was also significantly lower than that among the septic patients without CNS infection (67.1％).(P =0.014,1-β5 =0.685,OR =0.245,adjusted OR =0.275).Conclusions Apolipoprotein E genetic polymorphisms were associated with the occurrence of sepsis and central nervous system complications in children.The susceptibility of children with genotype ε3/ε3 to sepsis and central nerve system infection complications is significantly lower than that of children with other genotypes.

Objective To review the literature and synthesize current evidence on the use of kidneys with small renal cancer as donor kidneys.Method To locate eligible studies,four bibliographic databases including PubMed,Embase,Cochrane Library and ClinicalTrials.gov were screened,while key informants were collected and bibliographies of included studies were scrutinised.Two reviewers independently assessed studies for inclusion,extracted data.Data were synthesised as a narrative review.Results 1680 articles were found while eventually 15 studies were selected for this systematic review.All of the 15 included studies were case reports or case series.Totally 96 documented cases of donor kidneys after resection of small renal cancer were transplanted and no definite recurrence happened.Conclusion It is suggested from current limited evidence that cancer recurrence rate of allotransplanting kidney after resection of SRC was relatively low,thus it deserved much more well-designed clinical trials and clinical use.

Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics of childhood anaphylactoid purpura.Methods Seven hundred and sixty children with anaphylactoid purpura were included in this retrospective study.The clinicopathological features of childhood anaphylactoid purpura were analyzed,including age at onset,gender,season at onset,clinical and pathological manifestations,and complications such as purpura nephritis.Results Childhood anaphylactoid purpura commonly affected preschool and school-age children,and usually occurred in winter or spring.Of these patients,265 (34.87％) had gastrointestinal symptoms,298 (39.21％) had joint involvement,and 223 (29.34％) had renal impairment.Purpura nephritis mainly manifested as haematuria,proteinuria and nephritic syndrome,and was diagnosed in 91.91％ (91) of the patients receiving renal biopsy.The pathological grade of purpura nephritis varied from Ⅱ to Ⅲ in these patients.The distribution pattern of purpura was associated with complications.Conclusions Anaphylactoid purpura has age and season predilection.Purpura in both lower and upper extremities is likely to be complicated by gastrointestinal haemorrhage and joint involvement,and lower extremity purpura is more frequently to be complicated by nephritis than purpura in both lower and upper extremities.In general,childhood anaphylactoid purpura is a mild condition with a good prognosis.
