Chinese Journal of Ultrasonography 1993;0(04):-
70%) were group R. The distal LAD flow signal could be observed in all cases in group N and 6 cases in group R. The PVd, PVs and DSVR had no significant difference between group N and the controls. The PVd and DSVR were significantly lower in patients of group R than those in patients of group N and the controls. Conclusions Monitoring of the distal LAD flow velocity by TTCDE was useful in the noninvasive assessment of re-stenosis after stent intervention for the LAD lesions.

Chinese Journal of Digestion 1996;0(05):-
Objective This study was to investigate the relation of nitric oxide synthase with cell proliferation and apoptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods The expression and localization of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and PCNA in 21 patients with HCC were studied by immunohistochemistry. Apoptotic cell in tissue section was detected by TUNEL (terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase [TdT] mediated desoxyuridinetriphosphate [dUTP] nick end labeling). Results The iNOS protein was markedly expressed in the liver tissue of hepatic cirrhosis or chronic liver hepatitis, which was close to tumor edge. Meanwhile it was weakly or undetectable in the liver tissue localized beyond 1.5 cm from the tumor edge. The iNOS protein was markedly expressed at the invasive tumor edge and HCC cells that invased into stroma, but it was weakly or undetectable at the most tumor core. The expression of iNOS was correlated with the proliferative activity of cells, and the number of apoptotic cells was correlated to the number of PCNA positive cells ( P

Objective:To investigate the content change of EGF and NT-4/5 in the the frontal lobe, hippocampus and thalamus of rats after cerebral ischemia-reperfusion,in order to reveal the dynamic protection of EGF and NT-4/5 to cerebellum ischemia-reperfusion injury. Methods:Wistar senile rats were divided into the control group and the experiment groups at random. The control group included 5.The experimental groups were divided into cerebral ischemia 15 min group and ischemia-reperfusion 1 h,6 h,2 d,4 d,9 d groups after 15 min ischemia,5 rats per group. Results:There was all a little expression of EGF and NT-4/5 in the frontal lobe, hippocampus and thalamus of normal senile rats. The frontal lobe was shown evident increase of EGF expression in ischemia-reperfusion 2 d only. The hippocampus was shown continued increase of EGF expression during ischemia-reperfusion 6 h to 4 d and the EGF expression was shown a peak in ischemia-reperfusion 4 d.The increase of EGF expression in thalamus continued during ischemia-reperfusion 2-9 d too.The NT-4/5 expression of the frontal brain was clearly reduced after ischemia-reperfusion and returned to normal in ischemia-reperfusion 9 d.The NT-4/5 expression of hippocampus was shown one-off reduction after ischemia-reperfusion,but the expression quickly returned to normal and shows a little increase. The thalamus had only one-off reduction of NT-4/5 expression. Conclusion:The frontal lobe lacks of fast neuroprotective mechanism of EGF in early stage of ischemia-reperfusion and it has a limited neuroprotective effect of EGF in middle and advanced stage. The hippocampus has a fast and long-lasting neuroprotective mechanism of EGF.The thalamus has a delayed neuroprotective mechanism of EGF.The frontal brain and hippocampus have a delayed neuroprotective mechanism of NT-4/5.The neuroprotective mechanism of NT-4/5 is weaker in thalamus.
7.The study of immobilization of glucose oxidase on hydrophilic-hydropholic silica gel
Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 1981;0(03):-
Objective To evaluate the performances of glucose oxidase immobilized on hydrophilic-hydrophobic silica gel, which may be employed to prepare glucose sensor for the determination of glucose in body fluids. Methods The silica gel was prepared from precursors ?-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane (APTMOS) and methyltrimethoxysilane (MTMOS) by sol-gel technique. Glucose oxidase (GOD) was covalently attached to the silica gel via carbodiimide coupling reaction between a carboxylic acid group on enzyme and an amine group of the silica gel under the participation of the linking reagents 1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl) carbodiimide hydrochloride and N-hydroxysuccinimide. The performances of immobilized GOD were explored. Results The optimum conditions were obtained as follows: volume fraction of APTMOS 70%, enzyme content given 16 800 U, the temperature of 35 ℃ and buffer pH 5.5. The decrement in the activity of immobilized GOD for the first 2 weeks was less than 10% of its original activity, and the activity of immobilized GOD retained more than 75% of its original activity after 1 month of testing. Six independently prepared immobilized GOD on the silica gel resulted in an average bioactivity of 1 290.9 ?mol?min -1?g -1 with an R.S.D. of 3.4%. The Michaelis constant (K m) of immobilized GOD was 9.1 mmol?L -1. Conclusion Immobilizing GOD on the silica gel via the formation of peptide bonds is an outstanding enzyme immobilization method.

To study if the immune response in vivo induced by dendritic cells (DC) pulsed with tumor extract can inhibit the growth of implanted tumor and reject the challenge of tumor cells in nudes, we isolated and purified DC from hepato-cellcular cancer(HCC) patient with combination of granulocyte /macrophage colony stimulating factor and interleukin 4; extracted tumor-associated antigen from human hepatocellcular cancer cell line HepG2 tumor cells; initiated the T lymphocyte with DC pulsed by the TAA to product cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL); implanted the CTL to inhibit the growth of implanted tumor in nudes and protected the nudes against the further challenge of HepG2 tumor cells, and further found that the CTL induced by DC pulsed with TAA from HepG2 tumor cells can inhibit the growth of implanted tumor in nudes and protect the nudes against the further challenge of HepG2 tumor cells. The results suggest, as a new concept anti-tumor vaccine, DC pulsed by TAA may play an important role in therapy and prevent against tumor.

Objective To evaluate the feasibility and accuracy of real-time three-dimensional transesophageal echocardiography(TEE) in assessment of left atrial appendage(LAA) function. Methods Forty-two atrial fibrillation patients underwent real-time three-dimensional TEE. LAA ejection fraction based on two-dimensional area measurements(EFA-2D), three-dimensional area measurements(EFA-3D) and three-dimensional volume measurements(EFv-3D) were calculated and related to LAA peak empty velocity (PEV). The variability within observer and interobserver were tested. Results EFA-2D was significantly higher than EFA-3D[(62.84 ± 17.27)% vs (45.39 ± 16.58)%, P = 0.000] and EFv-3D [( 62.84 ±17.27) % vs (48.35 ± 19.37) %, P = 0.001 ], whereas EFA-3D and EFv-3D had no significant difference ( P = 0.158). In a simple linear correlation, the degree of association between EFv-3D and PEV was higher as between EFA-3D and PEV ( r = 0.662 vs 0.604,both P <0.05). No significant correlation was observed between EFA-2D and PEV ( r = 0.529, P = 0.130). Variabilities within observer and interobserver were no significant differences by the three methods( P >0.05). Conclusions LAA ejection fraction calculation by real-time three-dimensional TEE is feasible and more accurate than by 2D TEE.

Objective To compare the influence of postoperative pelvic floor function after different surgical procedures of hysterectomy. Methods A total of 260 patients who underwent hysterectomy in Renmin hospital of Wuhan University from January 2012 to January 2014 were enrolled in the study, and divided into 5 groups by different surgical procedures, which were total abdominal hysterectomy (A-TH;46 cases), total laparoscopic hysterectomy (L-TH;59 cases), total vaginal hysterectomy (V-TH;42 cases), abdominal intrafascial hysterectomy (A-CISH;78 cases), laparoscopic intrafascial hysterectomy (L-CISH;35 cases). Pelvic examination, pelvic organ prolapse quantitation (POP-Q), test of pelvic muscle strength, pelvic floor distress inventory-short form 20 (PFDI-20) and the female sexual function index (FSFI) questionnaire were measured after 6 months and 12 months. Results The differences of pelvic organ prolapse incidence after 6 months, A-TH and A-CISH [7%(3/46) versus 3%(2/78)], A-TH and L-CISH [7%(3/46) versus 3% (1/35)] were statistically significance (all P<0.05).POP-Q grade after 6 months between A-TH and A-CISH was statistically different in degree (P<0.05). The differences of incidence of abnormal pelvic floor muscle fatigue after 6 months of A-TH and A-CISH [59% (27/46) versus 29% (23/78)], A-TH and L-CISH [59%(27/46) versus 26%(9/35)] were statistically significant (all P<0.05), after 12 months the difference of L-TH and A-CISH [61% (36/59) versus 29%(23/78)] was statistically different (P<0.05). The differences of incidence of abnormal pelvic floor muscle strength after 6 months of L-TH and A-CISH [53%(31/59) verus 24%(19/78)], V-TH and A-CISH [60%(25/42) verus 24%(19/78)], V-TH and L-CISH [60%(25/42) verus 23%(8/35)] were statistically significant (all P<0.05);after 12 months the difference of V-TH and A-CISH [57% (24/42) versus 26% (20/78)] was statistically significant (P<0.05). Stress urinary incontinence, abnormal bowel movements after 6 months and 12 months were no significant difference between groups (all P>0.05), PFDI-20 total score was not statistically significant (P>0.05). FSFI total score after 6 months and 12 months in A-TH and A-CISH, L-TH and A-CISH, A-CISH and L-CISH were statistically significant (all P<0.05). Conclusion The influences of different surgical procedures to pelvic floor function are no statistical difference; as to the surgical resection of hysterectomy, intrafascia hysterectomy compared with extrafascia hysterectomy, the former is more helpful to the protection of the structure and function of the pelvic floor.
