Objective To study the role of bone turnover markers in multiple myeloma(MM)bone disease. Methods Thirty-eight MM patients were studied.Serum and urine samples were taken before, after 3 months and 6 months therapy.Serum samples of tartrate resistant acid phosphatage isoform-5b(sTRACP-5b),bonespesific alkaline phosphatase(sBAP),osteocslcin(sOC),urine samples of N-telopeptides of type Ⅰ collagen(NTX)were measured. Results Urine NTX concentrations were significantly higher in newly diagnosed and relapsed or refractory patients than that in pleateum patients and controls.serum TRACP-5b concentrations were significantly higher in newly diagnosed and relapsed or refractory patients than that in controls. There were no statistical significance compared with pleateum patients.Serum BAP concentrations were significantly lower than that in pleateum patients and controls.Serum OC concentrations were not statistically significant among the newly diagnosed patients, relapsed or refractory patients, pleateum patients and control. In newly diagnosed patients.urine NTX levels were significantly higher in stage Ⅲ than that in stage Ⅰ/Ⅱ,serum BAP levels were significantly lower in stage Ⅲ than that in stage Ⅰ/Ⅱ.There was a positive relationship between urine NTX and serum TRACP-5b in newly diagnosed patients.Urine NTX levels were significantly decreased, and serum BAP levels were significantly increased after 3 cycles effective therapy. There was no change in serum TRACP-5b and OC.Urine NTX and serum TRACP-5b were significantly diseased, serum BAP and OC were significantly increased after 6 cycles of effective therapy. But bone lesions on X-ray did not diminish at that time. Conclusion There is a closely relationship between bone turnover markers and bone lesions in MM.The bone turnover markers may be useful in monitoring MM progress and therapy.

Objective To study the relationship between hospital attributes and hospital social responsibility (HSR)behaviors, and measures to improve HSR performance. Methods 79 TCM hospitals in Jiangsu Province was surveyed with questionnaires for their HSR performance in 201 1 and 2012,with the data analyzed by independent two-sample t-test.Results In terms of HSR contribution, different levels of hospitals have statistical significance in bad debt, accomplishment of government mandatory missions, environmental protection, education and research, and social welfare activities.Hospitals in different regions have statistical significance in education and research,low-profit medical services and cheap drugs provision.Teaching hospitals make statistical significance in accomplishment of government mandatory missions, environmental protection, education and research, and social welfare activities. In terms of HSR willingness, different levels of hospitals have statistical significance in accomplishment of government mandatory missions, price discount, and education and research.Hospitals in different regions have statistical significance in health services with positive social effects, education and research, and social welfare activities.Teaching hospitals make statistical significance in education and research. Conclusions Secondary hospitals need to invest more resources on HSR.Hospitals in underdeveloped areas must pay more attention to environmental protection, education and research.Non-teaching hospitals need to strengthen quality of care, accomplishment of governmental mandatory missions and environmental protection.

To identify the factors that affect the hospital social responsibility(HSR)level based on theoretical analysis.79 TCM hospitals in Jiangsu Province were surveyed with questionnaires, with the data analyzed by the multiple linear regression model. The research results show the following: 1. Hospital’s financial performance, hospital size, and the congress of medical workers are positive factors to the HSR level.2.Pressure from HSR performance of neighboring hospitals has a significant negative impact.3.Hospital’s financial performance and hospital size have a significant positive impact on its intention to fulfill HSR.4.Hospital location has a significant negative impact on its intention to fulfill HSR.

5.5 the separation was not achieved. The compound of cyclodextrin and terbutaline increased with the increase of cyclodextrin when the volume rate of cyclodextrin was 0.4% 1.6%,making terbutaline easier for separation. Conclusion:The types of ? CD,the concentration and pH of buffer are the major factors influencing the separation of terbutaline and it can be completely separated.

Objective To explore the feasibility of repairing skin defect with Pelnac tissue engineering skin and cultured epidermal stem cells ( ESCs) and fibroblasts. Methods ESCs and fibroblasts in SD rats were isolated and cultured in vitro, and then were detected by immunohistochemistry. Fibroblasts were seeded in Pelnac material to construct dermis, and ESCs were seeded on the surface of dermis to construct tissue engineering skin. Thirty BALC/c nude mice were randomly divided into groups A, B and C. After mouse back skin defect model was established, group A was transplanted with Pelnac material, group B was transplanted with compound of Pelnac and fibroblasts, and group C was transplanted with Pelnac tissue engineering skin. The wound healing was observed after operation. The wound tissues were sampled for pathological histology test on the 5th and 7th day after transplantation. Results The expression of cytokeratin 15 and β1 integrin in ESCs was positive, and the expression of laminin ( LN) and fibronectin ( FN) in fibroblasts was positive. In group C, the wound healing of nude mice was the best, characterized by the proliferation of fibroblasts, obvious new capillaries and regularly arranged epidermal cells at the transplantation sites. Conclusion Pelnac tissue engineering skin has good effects on promoting repair of skin defect of nude mice.

Objective To explore the differentiation potency of ES cell-derived epidermal stem cells compounded by dermal analogs reconstructed with bone MSCs in hypodermis. Methods The dermal analogs were reconstructed with rat bone MSCs and compound gel-gelatin sponge.E14-ES cells, labeled with Hoechst 33342,were cocultured with human amnion.Four days later, epidermal stem cell clones were formed. The skin analogs, reconstructed with ES cell-derived epidermal stem cells and dermal analogs, were transplanted into 129 mice hypodermis. The differentiation tissue of skin analogs was sampled at 2,4,6,8 weeks. The sections were observed with HE staining, immunohistochemical and di-labeled immunofluorescence methods to test the expression of ?1 integrin,CK15,CK19,CEA,CK18.Results The sections were showed tubular or follicular like structures formed with simple or stratified epithelium at 2 and 4 weeks.Keratinized stratified squamous epithelium, sweat glands-like,sebaceous glands-like and hair follicles-like structures were observed at 6 week and 8 week after transplantation. The cells labeled by Hoechst 33342,formed tubular or follicular like structures,expressed?1 integrin,CK15,CK19,CEA and CK18positive respectively at 2 and 4 weeks. The sweat glands-like structure expressed CEA and CK18 positive respectively at 6 and 8 weeks. There were more sebaceous glands-like structures. Conclusion ES cell-derived epidermal stem cells compounded by dermal analogs reconstructed with bone MSCs can differentiate into keratinized stratified squamous epithelium, sweat glands-like,sebaceous glands-like and hair follicles-like structures in hypodermis.

Objective To study the expression of E-cadherin and ?-catenin in endometrial and endometriotic tissues of patients with endometriosis (EM) and to compare their expression in endometriosis at different stages. Methods Twenty-four EM patients were enrolled and the expression of E-cadherin and ?-catenin in endometrial and endometriotic tissues were determined by immunohistochemistry method. Normal endometrial tissue from 21 individuals was included as the control group. Results Compared with the control group, in E-cadherin and ?-catenin expression was shown in no difference between the secretory and the proliferative phase of endometrial tissue from EM patients. Furthermore, the expressions of E-cadherin and ?-catenin in normal endometrial tissue were stronger than that of EM patients(P
