Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of emedastine difumarate eye drops combined with pranoprofen eye drops on histamine (HA), eosinophil cationic protein (ECP), leukotrienes B4(LTB4) and, IgE levels of allergic conjunctival and provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment.Methods 76 cases of patients with allergic conjunctivitis were randomly divided into control group and experimental group , control group were treated with fumaric acid emedastine eye drops, experimental group were treated with fumarate emedastine combined with pranoprofen eye drops, and then compare the efficacy and serum ECP, HA, LTB4 and IgE levels between two groups before and after treatment of the symptoms and signs score . Results The total efficacy of experimental group was significantly higher than that in control group (94.70%vs.81.60%)(P<0.05).The serum ECP, HA, LTB4 and IgE levels of experimental group were significantly lower than those in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The emedastine difumarate combined with pranoprofen eye drops in the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis is better than single medication, and ECP, HA, LTB4, IgE significantly decrease.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of facial vein-superior ophthalmic vein approach to embolize carotid-cavernous sinus fistulas.Metheds The involved cavernous sinus was catheterized through the femoral vein-facial vein- superior ophthalmic vein approach, GDC, EDC, free microcoil, or silk were used to pack the sinus and occlude the shunt. If therer was any difficulty in catheterizing the faical vein, facial vein was exposed surgically and punctured, and then, through the superior opthalmic vein, the cavernous sinus was packed. Results 16 cavernous sinuses in 14 CCF patients(5 traumatic CCFs, 9 dural CCFs) were catheterized through facial vein-superior ophthalmic vein approach, and the technical success was achieved in 15 cavernous sinuses. Immediate angiographic cure of the shunts was achieved in 11cases, residual shunts with inferior petral sinus drainage in 2. Facial vein occlusion was encountered in 1 patient during the facial vein catheterization, further packing of the cavernous sinus was not performed, but follow-up angiography at the 21 st day revealed the spontaneous cure of the shunt. The VI cranial nerve palsy present after balloon embolization in a type A CCF was not improved after the packing of the cavernous sinus. Ocular symptoms in other patients disappeared after tranvenous embolization. The clinical follow-up period ranged from 3 to 21 months, no recurrence of the symptoms was found. Follow-up angiography in 2 patients with residual shunting showed the unchanged shunts, no further embolization was performed. No follow-up angiography was performed in other patients.Conclusions The facial vein-superior ophthalmic vein approach can be chosen as an optimum treatment for dural CCFs, and an important alternative treatment for type A CCFs after the failure of the initial balloon embolization.

Objective To summarize the technique of stent placement in treatment of fusiform aneurysms and dissecting aneurysms of vertebral artery. Methods we report a retrospective analysis of 16 aneurysms which underwent stent placement ,9 fusiform aneurysms which performed by using stent and GDC;7 dissecting aneurysms which performed by using stent first, Stent placement was followed by coil placement in the 5 aneurysms. Results all patients were cured,2 of 11 aneurysm showed up transient ischemia of cerebral.Follow-up angiographic studies performed in 13 patients from 3 months to 24 months revealed no aneurysm regrowth and no incident of in-stent stenosis.Conclusions the treatment of fusiform aneurysms and dissecting aneurysm of vertebral artery is distinguishing, Using stent combined with GDC to treat fusiform and dissecting aneurysm may restore the patency of parent artery and become safe and effective treatment for fusiform and dissecting aneurysm of vertebral artery.

Objective To establish the qualitative and quantitative detective methods of Fuyang granules.Methods The TLC methods for identification of Fructus kochiae and Herba solani lyrati were established.A simple HPLC was established for the determination of hydroxysafflor A(HYSA).The mobile phase was methanol-acetonitrile-0.7% phosphoric acid(24:6:70).UV detecting wavelength was at 403 nm.Results Fructus kochiae and Herba solani lyrati could be identified by TLC.HYSA showed a linear relationship at the concentration range of 0.128～1.024 ?g,r =0.999 8.The average recovery was 99.52% and RSD= 1.97%(n = 5).Conclusion The method can be used for qualitative identification and quantization determination of Fuyang granules.

[Objective] To determine the effects against human simplex virus type I(HSV-1) and adenovirus type Ⅲ(ADV-3) anti-viral in vitro and in vivo of eye drop prepared by mixed extract of Heartleaf houttuynia and Lonicera japonica.[Methods] By using different numbers of host cells with cytopathic effect(CPE) as the observation index,models of HSV-1 infected Vero cells and ADV-3 infected HeLa cells were established to determine the anti-viral effects in vitro of HLD with different dosages.Rabbit eye conjunctivitis model infected by HSV-1 was established to observe the anti-viral effects in vivo of HLD with different dosages,and the biopsy specimens of pathogenic eye conjunctive tissue were examined by routine pathological methods.In these experiments,a commercial acilovir eye drop(ACV) was used as the control.[Results] The minimum dosages of HLD to completely inhibit the CPEs of HSV-1 and ADV-3,the host cells were 32 mg/ml and 64 mg/ml respectively.After treatment with HLD,the inflammatory reactions of rabbit eye conjunctivitis caused by HSV-1 infection were obviously weak or disappeared.The curative rates of 1,3 and 6 g/ml HLD treating experimental rabbit eye conjunctivitis were 50.0%,83.3% and 100% respectively.Furthermore,the curative effect using 6 g/ml HLD has no significant difference compared to that using ACV drop.[Conclusion] HLD has a certain anti-viral effect in vitro and a stronger anti-viral effect in vivo,indicating the potential of HLD for developing a new drug to prevent or treat viral eye conjunctivitis.

Objective To screen and identify the predominant T-and B-cell (T-B) combined antigenic epitopes in outer membrane protein GroEL of Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori).Methods The entire groEL gene of H.pylori strain NCTC11637 was amplified by PCR,and then a prokaryotic expression system for groEL gene was constructed.The expressed target recombinant protein rGroEL was analyzed by SDSPAGE and purified by Ni-NTA affinity chromatography.Laser confocal microscopy was applied to determine the distribution of GroEL in H.pyloristrains of NCTC11637 and SS1.The outer membrane protein (OMP) samples were extracted from the two strains using Triton X-114 method.GroEL in OMP samples was detected by Western blot assay.Special bioinformatic softwares were used to predict T-B combined antigenic epitopes on GroEL molecule,and phage display systems for every T-B combined antigenic epitope were established.Western blot assay and ELISA were used to detect the immunoreactivity of recombinant T-B combined antigenic epitope-containing phage PⅢ proteins and artificially synthesized T-B combined antigenic epitope peptides,respectively.Results The groEL genes from H.pylori strains of NCTC11637 and SS1 showed 97.68％ ～99.63％ identities in their nucleotide and amino acid sequences.The established prokaryotic expression system could efficiently express soluble rGroEL.GroEL located on the outer membrane of H.pylori strains of NCTC11637 and SS1.Among the six major predicted T-B combined epitopes (GroEL168,GroEL258,GroEL288,GroEL365,GroEL396 and GroEL438),GroEL168 showed the strongest positive immunoblotting signal.The results of ELISA showed that the immunoreactivity of GroEL168 was also the strongest (P＜0.01),followed by GroEL258 and GroEL288 (P＜0.05).Conclusion GroEL is an outer membrane protein of H.pylori.GroEL168 being the predominant T-B combined antigenic epitope of GroEL can be used to develop multiple antigenic peptide vaccines of H.pylori.
