ObjectiveTo explore the relationship between the expression of Dishevelled2 and Vangl2 and the embryonic neural tube defects (NTDs) induced by all-trans retinoic acid (RA)in Kunming mouse. Methods Fifty pregnant mice were randomly divided into control and RA-treated groups.RA-treated mice were fed with 30mg/kg RA dissolved with peanut oil on embryo 7.75 days, while the mice of control group were administrated with an equal volume of peanut oil on the same time. Then all the embryos were sampled from pregnant mice at the 4th, 18th, 42nd, 66th and 90th hour after treatment. In situ hybridization and immunohistochemical staining technique were used to detect the expression of Dishevelled2 and Vangl2 in embryonic neural tube. Results The two proteins both existed in the epithelial tissue of the mouse embryonic neural tube and displayed different expression modes at various developmental stages.Compared with the control group, the RA treated group showed a significant decrease (P≤0.05) at the 18th and 42nd hour and a significant increase (P≤0.05) at the 66th hour in Dishevelled2 protein after maternal treatment, and no significant difference was found at the 90th hour. Compared with the control group, the Vangl2 mRNA expression in the RA treated group displayed a significant decrease (P≤0.05) at the 4th and 18th hour and a significant increase (P≤0.05) at the 66th hour after RA treatment, and no difference was found at the 42nd hour. Compared with the control group, the expression of Vangl2 protein in the RA treated group decreased (P≤0.05) at the 18th and 42nd hour, and increased (P≤0.05) at the 90th hour after RA treatment, no difference was found at the 66th hour. Conclusion Excessive RA may interfere with the normal embryonic neural tube closure by regulating the expression of Dishevelled2 and Vangl2.

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2012;28(9):737-740
Sixty-four patients with Graves' diseases were divided into methimazole group ( n =30 ) and propylthiouracil group( n =34 ).20 healthy volunteers were used as the control group. The levels of interleukin (IL) -2,IL-6,and TSH receptor antibody (TRAb) were determined by ELISA after serum samples were eollected before treatment and after treatment for 3 and 6 months. The results showed that the general data of two groups were not significantly different before treatment.IL-2 and IL-6 levels at 6 months after treatment were significantly different from the baseline (P< 0.05 ),IL-2 being gradually increased while IL-6 decreased with time. The level of IL-6 in methimazole group was lower than that in propylthiouracil group after treatment for 6 months ( P< 0.05 ).There was no significant difference in TRAb levels between two groups before treatment while differences became significant at 3 and 6 months of treatment ( all P< 0.01 ),being gradually decreased with time. IL-2/IL-6 ratio became significantly greater at 3 and 6 months of treatment compared with that before treatment in the same treatment group( P<0.05 ) and the ratio in methimazole group was higher than that in propylthiouracil group by 6 months of treatment ( P<0.05 ).IL-6level was positively correlated with FT3 and FT4 levels, and IL-2 level was negatively correlated with FT3,FT4,and TRAb levels in GD patients before treatment. The correlations of IL-2 and IL-6 with FT3 and FT4 disappeared by 3 and 6 months of treatment.IL-2 and IL-6 levels were related with TRAb level before and after treatment in methimazole group. These results suggest that the immunosuppressive effect of methimazole is more evident than that of propylthiouracil in patients with Graves' disease.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2022;34(2):142-146
Objective:
To investigate the intake of liquid dairy products and identify its influencing factors among the fourth grade students in Nanjing City.
Methods:
The fourth grade students were selected as the study subjects in Nanjing City using a multi-stage random cluster sampling method in September 2020. Their general information, frequency of liquid dairy product intake one week prior to survey and mean intake amount per time were collected. According to the 2016 Dietary Guidelines for Chinese Residents, weekly intake of liquid dairy products of 2 100 g and greater was defined eligible. Factors affecting the frequency and amount of liquid dairy product intake were identified using multivariable logistic regression analysis.
Results:
A total of 2 268 questionnaires were allocated and 2 216 valid questionnaires were recovered, with an effective recovery rate of 97.71%. The respondents included 1 199 boys ( 54.11% ) and 1 017 girls ( 45.89% ). The frequency of liquid dairy product intake was (6.41±4.86) times per week, and the median intake amount was 1 250.00 g per week (interquartile range, 1 750.00 g per week). There were 607 students ( 27.39% ) consuming liquid dairy products of 2 100 g and greater a week, and 1 016 students ( 45.85% ) consumed liquid dairy products for 7 times and more a week. Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that living in urban areas ( OR=1.204, 95%CI: 1.005-1.443 ), knowing nutrition labels ( OR=1.221, 95%CI: 1.021-1.460 ), periodical measurement of body weight (OR=1.486, 95%CI: 1.098-2.011) and restricted intake of sugar-containing drinks ( OR=1.264, 95%CI: 1.005-1.590 ) facilitated the intake of liquid dairy products for 7 times and more a week, and students with periodical measurement of body weight were more likely to consume liquid dairy products for 2 100 g and greater a week ( OR=1.821, 95%CI: 1.240-2.676 ).
Conclusions
Inadequate intake of liquid dairy products is found among the fourth grade students in Nanjing City. Residence, awareness of nutrition labels, periodical measurement of body weight, and parental restriction of sugar-containing drink intake affect the intake of liquid dairy products.
