Objective To study the clinicopathological features and biological behavior of inflammatory pseudotumor-like follicular dendritic cell tumor. Methods We studied the clinical data,HE sections, immunohistochemical staining,Epstein-Barr virus encoded nuclear RNA(EBER)in situ hybridization and outcome of one patient with inflammatory pseudotumor-like follicular dendritic cell tumor of liver, and thirteen patients with inflammatory pseudotumor of liver and spleen treated at the Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University from 2001 to 2010.Results Among the thirteen inflammatory pseudotumors,we diagnosed 1 patient with inflammatory pseudotumor-like follicular dendritic cell tumor of spleen and 1 patient with inflammatory pseudotumor-like follicular dendritic cell tumor of liver using immuno-histochemical staining and EBER in situ by hybridization. The liver case had pathological morphology consistent with those described in the literatures, but the splenic case had specific histologic features. They were both female, and were alive 2.5 and 6 years after operation. Conclusions Inflammatory pseudotumor-like follicular dendritic cell tumor should be distinguished from inflammatory pseudotumor. It is a rare tumor seen mainly in liver and spleen. The diagnosis depends on histopathological and immunohistochemical findings.Inflammatory pseudotumor-like follicular dendritic cell tumor is a low-grade malignant tumor.Surgical excision is the treatment of choice. The two cases provided evidence for its indolent behavior.

Objective To study the metastasis of lymph node of breast cancer patients in clinical T1-T2 N0 M0 and its clinical significance in (sentinel lymph node biopsy, SLNB). Methods A total of 276 pa-tients of breast cancer were enrolled in the study (T1 N0M0 cases =115 ; T2N0M0 cases = 161 ). The metas-tasis and distribution of axillary node by virtue of the location of primary tumor, ages and pathologic status were analyzed. Results The metastasis rate of axillary node in T1 N0M0 patients was less than T2 N0 M0 (P =0.027), while that in the central and lower outer quadrant's was higher than in other' s parts(P =0.004).When the tumor located in outer quadrant, the axillary node metastasis rate of Berg I was highest in the cen-tral, outer and inner quadrant(P =0.000). But the metastasis rate of Berg Ⅲ was lowest in the three quad-rants (P = 0. 000). For the pathologic status, the metastasis rate of invasive carcinoma-not otherwise speci-fied(NOS) was higher than early breast carcinoma and other pathologic categories (P =0.000). More than 2 groups axillary node metastasis was found in 6 of 9 patients with carcinoma simplex. The 90 cases with axilla-ry node metastasis were analyzed by age. Axillary node was easier for metastasis in those cases aged above 50years than those below 50 years(68.9% vs 31.1% )(P =0. 000). Two eases with skip metastasis were in T2 No Mo (invasive ductal carcinoma disease = 1, carcinoma simplex disease = 1 ). Conclusion The distri-bution of the metastasis of lymph node in clinical T1 ,T2 N0M0 breast cancer plays an important role in SLNB and formulating reasonable treatment protocols.

This study was aimed to observe the protective effect of extract from Rhizoma A nemones Raddeanae (RAR) on hepatic fibrosis induced by porcine serum in rats. A total of 68 SD rats were randomly divided into 5 groups, which were the normal group, model group, RAR group, extraction of RAR (EXRAR) group, Fu-Zheng Hua-Y u(FZHY) group. Each rat was intraperitoneally injected with 0.5~0.6 ml of porcine serum twice a week for 15 suc-cessive weeks to establish liver fibrosis model. Intragastric administration was given after the model was successfully established. The FZHY group was given FZHY capsule (0.525 g·kg-1). The RAR group was given RAR decoction (0.7 g·kg-1). The EXRAR group was given EXRAR (0.071 g·kg-1). The model group and normal group were given e-qual amount of physiological saline. The medication was given once a day. And the treatment course was 8 weeks. At the end of the 23th week, rats were sacrificed. Contents of SOD and MDA in blood serum were assayed. The protein expressions of α-SMA and TGF-β1 in liver tissues were detected by SABC. The results showed that compared with the model group, content of MDA decreased in the EXRAR group, RAR group and FZHY group (P<0.05), and content of SOD increased obviously (P<0.05). In the model group, expression of α-SMA and TGF-β1 increased, with dark brown dyeing and diffusion area. Expression area and strength of the FZHY group, RAR group, and EXRAR group were ob-viously weak with tasteless interval dyeing and no formation of typical pseudolobule in comparison with the model group. The color rendering index showed that compared with the model group, the protein expression of α-SMA and TGF-β1 decreased obviously in liver tissues of the FZHY group, EXRAR group, and RAR group (P< 0.05). It was concluded that RAR and its extract had a good antifibrosis effect. And the EXRAR had basically the same antifibrosis effect as RAR. It was assumed that the possible mechanism was related with the inhibiting of hepatic stellate cell (HSC) activation and the expression of TGF-β1 as well as the resisting of lipid peroxidation.
