A rapid and sensitive analytical method was developed for the simultaneous determination of fumonisins B1 and B2 in traditional Chinese medicines by HPLC-MS/MS. The detection limits for fumonisins B1 and B2 were 0.25 ng x mL(-1) corresponding to 2 microg x kg(-1) in samples. Recoveries from different samples spiked with fumonisins B1 and B2 at levels ranging from 0.2 to 3 mg x kg(-1) were 84.0%-96.1% and 86.3%-99.3%, respectively. Among the total of 34 samples purchased from local markets, ten samples of which were visibly moldy samples due to inappropriate storage, and 24 were normal samples. The results showed that 6 of the visibly moldy samples and 5 of the normal samples were contaminated with total fumonisins at levels ranging 82.4-2349 microg x kg(-1) and 102-729 microg x kg(-1), respectively.

Objective:To investigate the accuracy of a threshold-based segmentation method based on cone beam breast CT(CBBCT) images in breast density measurement, and its value for breast-type classification and breast cancer screening. Methods:A retrospec-tive analysis of 195 patients who had undergone CBBCT examination at Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital be-tween May 2012 and August 2014 was performed.A total of 64 breasts were analyzed. On the basis of the classification criteria for breast density in BI-RADS,they were classified into four types and the majority report was reported.Breast density was measured by the threshold-based segmentation method based on CBBCT images and corrected manually to obtain the corrected breast density.A month later, the procedure was repeated.Intra-class correlation coefficients(ICCs)were used to compare the intra-observer and inter-observer consistencies of threshold-based segmentation and manually corrected breast density measurement results for non-dense and dense breasts. Results:For threshold-based segmentation measurements the intra-observer and inter-observer ICC values were 0.0.9624(95% CI:0.9388~0.9770)and 0.9666(95% CI:0.9500~0.9785).For manually corrected measurements, the intra-observer and inter-observer ICC values were 0.9750 (95% CI: 0.9592~0.9847) and 0.9775 (95% CI: 0.9661~0.9855). The ICC between the threshold-based segmentation method and manual correction was 0.9962 (95% CI: 0.9983~0.9977). The ICC values of threshold-based and manually corrected measurement in non-dense and dense breasts were 0.9497(95% CI:0.7072-0.9914)and 0.9983(95% CI:0.9971-0.9990),respectively.Conclusions:The threshold-based segmentation method based on CBBCT is a reliable and accurate com-puter-aided method of measuring breast density. It is expected to be applied in large-scale screening of breast cancer and to provide more information for predicting the risk of breast cancer.

6.Changes of corneal endothelial cells and ocular surface after phacoemulsification in cataract patients with diabetes mellitus
International Eye Science 2021;21(5):872-875
AIM: To investigate the changes of corneal endothelial cells and ocular surface after phacoemulsification for age-related cataract(ARC)patients with diabetes mellitus.
METHODS: Retrospective case study. A total of 190 cataract patients with diabetes mellitus who received phacoemulsification combined with IOL implantation in 190 eyes admitted to our hospital from January 2017 to January 2019 were selected. In addition, 230 ARC patients without diabetes who underwent phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation at the same time were selected as the control group. Ocular surface disease index(OSDI)score, tear film rupture time(BUT), basal tear secretion test(S I t), corneal endothelial cell density and coefficient of variation were compared between the two groups.
RESULTS: There was no significant difference in preoperative OSDI score, BUT, S I t, corneal endothelial cell density and coefficient of variation between the two groups(P>0.05). In the observation group, OSDI scores were significantly increased 1wk, 1mo and 3mo after surgery compared with those before surgery, with statistically significant differences(all P<0.01). The OSDI scores of patients in the control group increased significantly one week and one month after the operation compared with those before the operation, with statistically significant differences(all P<0.01). The OSDI scores in the observation group at each time point after the operation were higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(all P<0.05). One week after surgery, 1mo after surgery, BUT and S I t in the two groups decreased significantly compared with that before surgery(P<0.05), and the difference was not statistically significant compared with that before surgery 3mo after surgery. In addition, compared with BUT between the two groups, the observation group had a lower tear film stabilization time and a more significant decrease(P<0.05). The corneal endothelial cell density in the two groups decreased significantly 1wk, 1mo and 3mo after surgery compared with that before surgery(P<0.05). The variation coefficient of corneal endothelial cells in the two groups was statistically significant 1wk after the operation and 1mo after the operation compared with that before the treatment(P<0.05). The variation coefficient of corneal endothelial cells in the observation group was more significant than that in the control group(P<0.05).
CONCLUSION: Cataract patients with diabetes surgery tolerance is low, the corneal endothelial cell density and the central corneal thickness and corneal appears before tear secretion with stability and foundation treatment have significant changes, and its characteristic is cataract patients without diabetes more apparent, clinical intraoperative and postoperative corneal endothelial protection should be strengthened, and the surface of the eye protection ability of the organization.

In order to solve the problems that the injury, hemorrhage, infection and edema of the brain tissue caused by brain electrodes implantation for aquatic animal robots, a light stimulation device and an optical control experiment method for carp robots are proposed in this paper. According to the shape of the carp skull, the device is a structure of Chinese character " cut by a printed circuit board which can provide three groups of A, B and C bridge platforms for the light stimulation source. The two ends of a bridge in every group are welded with a jumper board, and the light emitting diodes (LED) are inserted into the jumper boards as the light stimulation source, and all negative poles of the jumper boards are connected to the console by the wire. A LED light can be replaced by another LED light according to the need of the wavelength of the LED light, and various combinations of the light stimulation modes can be also selected. This device was mounted on the carp robot's head, the carp robot was placed in a water maze, and the optical control experiment method was observed to control the forward movement and steering movement of the carp robots ( = 10) under the dark light condition. The results showed that the success rates of the three groups of red light control experiments were 53%-87%, and the success rates of the three groups of blue light control experiments were 50%-80%. This study shows that the apparatus and the method are feasible.

In order to accurately implant the brain electrodes of carp robot for positioning and navigation, the three-dimensional model of brain structure and brain electrodes is to be proposed in the study. In this study, the tungsten electrodes were implanted into the cerebellum of a carp with the aid of brain stereotaxic instrument. The brain motor areas were found and their three-dimensional coordinate values were obtained by the aquatic electricity stimulation experiments and the underwater control experiments. The carp brain and the brain electrodes were imaged by 3.0 T magnetic resonance imaging instrument, and the three-dimensional reconstruction of carp brain and brain electrodes was carried out by the 3D-DOCTOR software and the Mimics software. The results showed that the brain motor areas and their coordinate values were accurate. The relative spatial position relationships between brain electrodes and brain tissue, brain tissue and skull surface could be observed by the three-dimensional reconstruction map of brain tissue and brain electrodes which reconstructed the three-dimensional structure of brain. The anatomical position of the three-dimensional reconstructed brain tissue in magnetic resonance image and the relationship between brain tissue and skull surface could be observed through the three-dimensional reconstruction comprehensive display map of brain tissue. The three-dimensional reconstruction model in this study can provide a navigation tool for brain electrodes implantation.
