1.Synthesis, structure and biological effects of some compounds of 2-mecaptobenzothiazole
Pharmaceutical Journal 1998;272(12):14-16
Nine compounds derivated from 2-mercaptobezothiazole were synthesized. Their structure have been identified by MS-, IR-, and UV- spectroscopy. Antimicrobial activities of some compounds have been tested. Hydrazide BT6 and substituted hydrazides BT7, BT8, BT9 were found to have significant inhibitory activity on P. aeruginosa, S. aureus, Asp. niger and F. oxysporum at concentration 50mcg/ml.

Realtime xCELLigence analysis (RTCA) is a new cell detection technology to continuously monitor, record and analyze a variety of information generated by cell activity. In drug research, it plays an important role in assessing myocardial toxicity and cell biological activity. Here, we first introduce the underlying mechanisms and characteristics of RTCA. Then we review the applications of RTCA in the research of myocardial toxicity and cell biological activity, to provides the fundamental baseline for understanding and exploiting RTCA. With the real-time, unlabeled, non-invasive, high throughput, and high accuracy features, RTCA not only promotes drug research and development, but also has a broad and good application prospect in other fields.

3.Choice of pharmaceutical services in Tien Son district
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 1998;(1):24-27
According to the results of an investigation on 270 households in May 1999 carried out in Tien Son district, Bac Ninh province, 56 (20.79%) purchasing households came to commune health centre, 195 (72.22%) came to private clinic, 8 (2.96%) came to public pharmacy and 11 (4.03%) came to private pharmacy. Quality of the drug, easiness to access, reasonable price, good counseling... are the favorable factors to promote the purchaser's choice

4.Qualitative evaluation of some imported drugs before and after goods sending by Incotern 2000
Pharmaceutical Journal 2004;336(3):7-9
Study on 2 drugs of combined components: The drug number 1: combined tablets of Ethambutol/Isoniazide 400/150mg; The drug number 2: combined tablets of Rifampicine/Isoniazide 150/100mg and Pyrazinamide 500mg. These drugs delivered from India to Vietnam by the airway or shipment during April 2001 to September 2003. The results showed that: delivering time was approximately 10 days in airway and estimated time of 32 days in shipment. The time for issuing Vinacontrol's cerfiticate on drug quality was approximately 348 days, the time for issuing certificate on drug quality was longer than delivering time both the airway and the shipment. The results of testing drug quality before and after delivering pharmaceutical drugs from India to Vietnam found that testing indicators excepted assays were as same in certificate of manufacturer, SGS International and Vinacontrol and assay of imported drugs was in rank of registered standards

5.Dosage of loperamide in pharmaceutical products by colour acidimetry
Pharmaceutical Journal 2004;0(9):13-15
Through pH determination, acide- color quantification, extraction time and stabilization time of solvent extracting layer, optimal parameters were determined to quantify loperamide. The method could have high sensitive and selectivity with precise and repetitive results; its is appropriate for laboratories at low level of technique equipments

6.Assessment of stock process in national business during period 1999-2003
Pharmaceutical Journal 2004;44(12):2-3
The reality, some results and shortcomings of privatization process of state owned pharmacies were evaluated at period 1999-2003. The result: privatizating state owned pharmacies is relatively good, the amount of privatizated state owned pharmacies increase continously in past years. However, although there were 54,1% of provinces and cities implementing privatization but mainly that are enterprises belong to 2 regions of The Red river delta and South- East Viet Nam. This showed that the privatization process of regions isn’t equal. According to the plan, in 1998 there had been 7 units carrying out privatization but to the end of the 2000, there was only 1 first unit conversing successtly. That is the branch of Hai Phong 1 Health company changing into HaiPhong Health trade privatization company. Estimating to 12/2003, there were 8 center state owned pharmacies and 65 local state owned pharmacies privatized. They concentrate most in South VietNam

7.Additional comments about exploit coming to meet chemical drugs whose intellectual ownership will be expired during the period 2005-2015
Pharmaceutical Journal 2005;347(3):2-4
Forecast during 10 years from 2005 to 2014, the numbers of chemical drugs whose intellectual ownership will be expired are 83 substances with their turnover of over 100 billion USD. These are main substances that used for treating chronic diseases among non-communicable diseases - a disease pattern in the developed countries and industrializing countries, which Vietnam is one of them. To study about exploit coming to meet chemical drugs whose intellectual ownership will be expired, many generic manufactories have built research – development strategy in order to produce some specific generic groups, avoiding the simple “copy” of the formula and forms of available brand name products

8.Apropos one case of successful desensitization to rifampicin and isoniazid in an anti-TB treated patient
Ho Chi Minh city Medical Association 2005;10(5):274-276
Report one case of male patient aged 50 years old admitted Pham Ngoc Thach Hospital on August, 23rd 2004 due to allergic reactions with 2 main anti TB rifampicin and isoniazid. He was treated by conventional desensitization to rifampicin and isoniazid. After that, he was treated by formula of 2RHZE/6HE (+ Rifampicin) in 8 months, with good outcomes. X-ray finding on September, 27th 2004 and on May, 27th 2005: pleural effusion decreased and stopped, less pleural adhesion

9.Quality monitoring of artesunate 50mg tablets produced in Vietnam
Journal of Malaria and parasite diseases Control 2003;0(6):23-28
Quality of the locally produced artesunate 50mg tablets provided by the National Malaria Control program to five provinces of Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Ha Tinh and Ninh Thuan was monitored in a survey from June 2001 to December 2004 that was conformed with the expiry date of the drug. The drug had also been previously found to meet the quality criteria of manufacturer and pharmacopoeia. Analysis of samples collected from five provinces showed a remaining stable quality of mass equability, disintegration, hardness and solubility as permitted limits. The artesunate concentration was found to be 90-100% and 95-105% according to pharmaceutical classes and manufacturer criteria, respectively

10.Contribution to study on selecting a drug list and estimating drug demand in Khanh Hoa Rehabilitation Nursing Hospital
Journal Ho Chi Minh Medical 2005;9(3):170-175
To establish an appropriate hospital drug list, the local disease prevalence and the revision of drug treatment in Khanh Hoa Rehabilitation Nursing Hospital, a survey and statistics were taken in 9 years (1995-2003). The disease categories observed in the hospital were contained in 19 chapters of The International Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems - 10th revision (ICD10). Three chapters associated with high prevalence are chapter VI (Diseases of the nervous system), chapter IX (Diseases of the circulation system), and chapter XIII (Diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue). Based on the local disease prevalence observed in the hospital, treatment guidelines, management capability and payment ability of patients, the Multi-Attribute Decision Analysis Method (MADAM) was applied to list available drugs used in Khanh Hoa Rehabilitation Nursing Hospital. Five decision evaluation criteria including efficacy, safety, ease of use, cost of drug and origin of drug were weighted and scored for the choice of drugs. The obtained result was a drug list which almost uses and promotes the 4th Essential Drug Concept
