4.Evaluation of visual function in cataract patients after phacoemulsification
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2011;29(4):377-380
Lens opacity attenuates the contrast sensitivity and clarity of eye due to scattering of light, which leads to poor vision in cataract patients.Phacoemulsification with primary intraocular lens is the primary surgical approach. Some complaints of vision discomfort commonly occur although the vision acuity is good.It is,therefore, vital for us to seek an objective evaluation system of visual quality after cataract surgery.Contrast sensitivity test and visual questionnaire offer valuable input for this issue.Contrast sensitivity can estimate vision function more accurately to better measure visual impairment preoperatively and vision outcome after cataract extraction.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2012;(11):1490-1492
Objective To investigate the therapeutic effects of the losartan combined with atorvastatin on patients with diabetic nephropathy (DN).Methods 122 patients with DN were randomly divided into two groups,61 cases in the control group were received conventional therapy and added the losartan,61 cases in the observation group were treated by atorvastatin on the basis of the control group. The treatment time was 12weeks for each group. After 12 weeks, the systolic blood pressure (SBP),diastolic blood pressure (DBP),triglycerides (TG),total cholesterol (TC),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C),high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C),fasting blood glucose (FBG),urinary albumin excretion rate (UAER),serum creatinine (Scr),and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbAIc) were measured. Results The total effective rate was 93.44% in the observation group, and 75.41% in the control group, with a statistically significant difference between two groups (x2 =7.54,P < 0.01).After 12 weeks, the SBP and DBP were all changed more than before,DBP decreased more significantly (SBP:t =16.25,17.34,P <0.01 ;DBP:t =18.10,17.04,P <0.01); FBG,UAER,and HbAlc in the control group were significantly reduced (P < 0.05) ; the TG,TC,LDL,-C HDL,-CFBG,UAER,Scr,and HbAlc of the observed group were significantly reduced more, too.TG,TC,UAER,and Scr of the observed group were significantly lower than the control group (P < 0.05).Conclusions The losartan combined with atorvastatin that were used to treat patients with DN can reduce the urine albumin and protect the renal function.
7.The Clinical Analysis of Serum Level of Uric Acid in 80 Hemodialysis Patients
Journal of Kunming Medical University 2013;(8):110-113
Objective To investigate the effect of serum uric acid (UA) on cardiovascular diseases in hemodialysis patients. Methods The serum level of uric acid and other laboratory indexes of 80 hemodialysis patients were detected, and the left ventricular mass index (LVMI) and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) were detected by ultrasonic cardiography examination. Results According to the serum level of UA, the hemodialysis patients were divided into 2 groups:the group with high serum level of UA and the group with normal serum level of UA. There were significant differences (P<0.05) in hypertension history, the period of hypertension history, systolic blood pressure before hemodialysis between the two groups. The serum levels of UA,creatinine, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, C-reactive protein, brain natriuretic peptide and LVMI were significantly higher, while the serum levels of albumin,pre-albumin,high density lipoprotein cholesterol, LVEF were lower in the group with high serum level of UA than those in the group with normal high serum level of UA (P<0.05) . Furthermore, the serum levels of UA in 80 patients was positively correlated to systolic blood pressure before hemodialysis, serum creatinine, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, C-reactive protein, brain natriuretic peptide, and LVMI (P<0.05), while it was negatively correlated to serum albumin, pre-albumin, high density lipoprotein cholesterol and LVEF (P<0.05) . Conclusion High serum level of uric acid is associated with the onset of cardiovascular diseases in hemodialysis patients.
8.Discussion on magnesium ions in children with asthma exacerbation
China Medical Equipment 2014;(5):107-108
Objective:To determine blood magnesium and urinary magnesium in children with asthma exacerbation and discuss the relationship between the magnesium level and children with asthma attack. Methods:The observation group include 90 children who were 0~6 years old with asthma exacerbation that admission to our hospital since May 2008 to May 2012. The control group was 100 children with the same age to the observation group to accept the health examination. Every child in two groups were taking venous blood of 2ml and 24h urine samples. Record the amount of urine at the same time. Using automatic biochemical analyzer to detect the serum magnesium concentration and urinary magnesium concentration. Results: The urinary magnesium concentration of observation group was obviously lower than control group (t=8.52, P<0.001);the serum magnesium concentration of two groups had no significant difference (t=2.21, P>0.05). Conclusion:Children with asthma in acute attack stage with magnesium deficiency. Urinary magnesium concentration determination is simple, and it is a effective method that can be used to judge whether there is magnesium deficiency. Serum magnesium concentration cannot be used as a reliable indicator of magnesium ion balance.

10.Application of three-dimensional reconstruction in pelvic and acetabular fractures
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2014;(9):1416-1421
BACKGROUND:Diagnosis of pelvic and acetabular fractures is difficult with a high misdiagnosis rate. It is necessary to diagnose pelvic and acetabular fractures rapidly and accurately. And patients suffer great injury, blood loss, from traditional open pelvis and acetabulum surgery, often complicated by neurovascular injury. Correct positioning and placement of internal fixator can reduce surgical complications.
OBJECTIVE:To explore the new progress of three-dimensional reconstruction of pelvic and acetabular fractures in order to promote its clinical application.
METHODS:A computer-based online search of PubMed database, CNKI database and Vip database between September 1996 and October 2013 was performed to search related articles using the key words of“3D, three dimensional reconstruction, pelvic fracture, acetabular fracture”in English and Chinese, respectively. The duplicate research or Meta analysis articles were eliminated. Final y, 41 articles were enrol ed for further analysis.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Through a three-dimensional reconstruction using a variety of post-processing techniques, such as multi-planar reformation, maximum intensity projection, shaded surface display and volume rendering, we can get high quality images at any angle. Various post-processing techniques interact with each other that can reduce missed diagnosis rate and misdiagnosis of pelvic and acetabular fractures. Moreover, three-dimensional reconstruction techniques can be used to design surgical approach, guide surgeon’s surgical program designed to simulate surgical procedures, reduce the complications caused by the dislocation of internal fixation, and reduce the surgical risk. Three-dimensional reconstruction is also used for postoperative fol ow-up review of fracture recovery.
