5.Advance in study on endothelial colony-forming cells.
Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2015;40(5):564-568
Endothelial colony-forming cells (ECFCs), different from classical endothelial progenitor cells, are late endothelial progenitor cells with the capability to promote angiogenesis. Recent studies showed that ECFCs have a huge angiogenesis potential in the restoration of ischemic hearts, lungs or brains. They are also able to induce the expression of vascular related factor to promote angiogenesis in repair of limb ischemia or bone injury. Furthermore, ECFCs possess a strong homing effect for tumor, which is closely related to tumor occurrence, development and prognosis. Thus, ECFCs are a novel direction for vascular regeneration study, and may lead to ground-breaking progresses in fields of tissue regeneration and tumor.

Angiogenin, as a member of the ribonuclease superfamily, is an angiogenic protein. The angiogenic ability of angiogenin plays an important role in many physical and pathological processes. Angiogenin can induce endothelial cell migration, proliferation, tubulation, as well as inhibition of cellular apoptosis. Angiogenin can be used to modulate the angiogenetic process of tissue engineered constructions via local delivery. Furthermore, angiogenin can also be regarded as a biomarker for diagnostic evaluation of malignancy, or as a target for cancer therapy. This paper presents a comprehensive overview of the angiogenic mechanisms of angiogenin, as well as its potential application in the process of wound healing and treatment of ischemic diseases and malignancy.

8.Role of platelet in angiogenesis.
Journal of Zhejiang University. Medical sciences 2009;38(4):427-432
Angiogenesis is a process involving the growth of new blood vessels from pre-existing vessels though sprouting or other ways. It plays an important role in both physiological and pathological processes. Researches have found that platelets may contribute to angiogenesis as well. In this paper, we review the role of platelet in angiogenesis, especially the relationship with tumor angiogenesis, and discuss clinical implications of these findings.

9.Advances of Researchs on Molecular Mechanisms of Mesenchymal Stem Cells and Their Exosomes in Angiogenesis--Review.
Journal of Experimental Hematology 2018;26(6):1858-1862
Mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) have the potential of multi-directional differentiation, and can recruit endothelial cells, promote their proliferation, migration and angiogenesis, improve blood perfusion and oxygen suppliment, and repair damaged tissue. Exosome secreted by MSC contain mother cell-specific proteins, lipids and nucleic acids, and acts as signaling molecule, playing an important role in cell communication, thereby altering target cell function. In this review, the biological characteristics of MSC and its exosome, the mechanism of promoting vascular regeneration in patients with ischemic diseases, and the mechanism of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α) in the vascular ischemia of ischemic diseases are all summarized briefly.

10.Impact of mechanical stress and tension-stress on angiogenesis in wound healing.
Chinese Journal of Traumatology 2006;9(2):118-124
Angiogenesis plays a fundamental role in the development of the embryonic vascular tree as well as in several normal and pathologic conditions during postnatal life. Blood supply, established by neovascularization, is imperative for histogenesis during wound healing as well as the limb lengthening applied extensively in the treatment of skeletal trauma sequalae. But little attention has been paid to this area. This review aims to summarize angiogenesis regulation, the process of angiogenesis in wound healing and angiogenesis under mechanical stress, particularly in association with the tension-stress principle.
