2.Study on molecular epidemiology of the HIV infection in Vietnam
Journal of Preventive Medicine 2004;14(1):5-10
Molecular epidemiological study of the HIV infection in Vietnam showed that recombinated HIV-1 subtype CRF01 (E subtype according to old classification) is still largely predominant either among injection drug users or persons infected though sexual intercourse. However, the presence of other HIV-1 subtypes B, C and other recombinated viruses indicated that HIV infection in Vietnam might become more complex with entry of different generic HIV-1 subtypes and other recombinated viruses

Korean Journal of Urology 1989;30(2):283-285
We treated a patient with Peyronie's disease surgically with dermal grafttechnique described by Horton and Devine. Details of the preoperative management and surgical technique are provided. We conclude that severely afflicted patient, unresponsive to medical therapy and who is unable to perform sexual intercourse because of severe penile curvature should be considered for the dermal graft penoplasty.

Korean Journal of Urology 1988;29(5):875-877
Epispadias is an extremely rare malformation that urethral opening is located on the dorsum of the penis. The severity of the epispadiac defect depends upon the degree of persistence of the cloacal membrane. Treatment goals of epispadiac patients include restoration of normal urinary control and establishment of a straight penis of adequate length that is functional for normal sexual intercourse. Recently we have experienced a case of glandular epispadias and report it with brief review of literature.

Urethral Hemangioma are rare benign lesion that may cause hematuria or bloody urethral discharge. These lesions tend to recur if the surgical excision is inadequate. A urethral hemangioma was found in a 42-year-old female complaining of hematuria at first voiding after sexual intercourse. Transurethral resection of the tumor was performed. She remains asymptomatic for 3 months after surgery.

Journal of the Korean Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery 2007;13(2):159-163
The hypertrophic labia minora presents many problems in both cosmetic and functional aspects. Local irritation, problems of personal hygiene during menses or after bowel movements, interference with sexual intercourse, and discomfort during cycling, walking, or sitting are generally accepted as indications for surgical reduction. We preserved the natural contour and anatomy of the labia minora by simply reducing its most prominent part (anterior two thirds) width through bilateral deepithelialization and primary closure of the edges with preservation of the neurovascular supply to the edges. This method is very simple and straightforward technique only the most prominent part of the tissue removed without morphologic alteration and minimal aesthetic and functional morbidity. Six patients have undergone this aesthetic procedure with excellent results without specific complications. This new technique is very simple and effective wound healing methods and can greatly enhance the patient`s confidence.
