Genomics & Informatics 2007;5(4):200-202
For the past several years, we have built various tools for automatic construction of biopathways to help biological experts, especially in the field of agriculture. We integrated several systems for constructing web applications for analyzing biological pathway information for agricultural species, constructing optimized pathway maps. In addition to building web applications for agricultural pathway information, we developed several stand-alone software tools, which are publicly downloadable under proper license agreements.

2.Enterosite infection in region where used the wastewater in Agriculture
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):55-56
An investigation of 5 sites along with the Kim nguu and Set rivers and 5 sites along with Red river in Gia lam district has shown that the worm eggs found in 4 samples of vegetables among 120 samples of vegetables in Thanh tri district while no worm eggs found in samples of vegetables in Gia lam district. The rates of cryptosridium and cyclospores in Thanh tri were 3 times higher than this in Gia lam.

3.Nutrition status of children from 7 to 15 years old in the coastals and agricultural areas in Thai Binh province
Journal of Preventive Medicine 2004;14(4):58-62
The change of nutritional status of primary and secondary school children (7-15 years old )living in coastal (3 communes) and agricultural (3communes)
areas in Thai Binh province was assessed repeately after 9 years of intervention (1995 and 2004). The rate of underweight, stunting and wasting were 25,4%, 30,1%, and the reductive trend was faster in coastal areas than that in agricultural areas. In the year 2004, a rate of 1,1% of children in general was overweight,i.e. higher with statistical significance than that in y.1995 (0,41% in coastal and 0,57% in agricultural areas)

4.Working condition and health status of female labourers in agricultural industry
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):4-6
The study was conducted on 4,800 female labourers from three regions. It was selected randomly one district from every province, 2 communes from every district and 300 labourers from every commune. The result showed that agricultural female labourers have rate of 53.5 - 55.5%, most of them are 26 - 45 years of old (73.5%). Most of them have primary and secondary education (84.7%). 11.3% of participants have high-school education and 4% have just escaped illiteracy. 88% have married and 45.9% have more than 2 live children. Working duration is long (8-17 hours per day) and most of them have not received health care periodically. Labor accident rate remains to be high in agricultural female labourers with 130 cases per 10,000 people

5.Working conditions and health status of female farmers in CaiBe district, TienGiang province
Journal of Preventive Medicine 1998;8(4):28-35
A survey had been conducted with 600 female farmers with the ages of 18-55. Results showed that: female farmers accounted for 51-54% of the 80% totals merely agricultural working force. 85.5% were at primary and secondary education levels. Almost were marriage, 60.5% used family planning method. Drinking water sources, river water and lake water 36.7%; drilling well water 27.36%. 94.8% population still used pond as a toilet. 2000 tons of chemical substances for plant protection with all types were used every year. The disease morbidity rate was 18.6-20% population, mainly respiratory diseases, gynecological disease, arthropathy and osteopathy. 97.05% women were taken part in propagandizing program of the public health.

To provide theoretical basis for breeding good variety of Dendrobium denneanum, agronomic and qualitative characters of 4 different lines and relationships among them were studied. The stem length, stem diameter, leaf length, leaf width, length/ width ratio and leaf area were measured. The single fresh and dry stem was weighed and drying rate was calculated. The contents of polysaccharides and total alkaloids were determined by sulfuric acid-phenol colorimetry and acid-dye colorimetry, respectively. The correlations between characters were analyzed. The results showed that differences in major agronomic characters between four lines were significant. The plant types of dq-1 and dq-2 were higher, dq-3 was medium and dq-4 was lower. The fresh weigh of stem and content of polysaccharides were the highest in dq-2, 7.81 g and 14.33%. While the highest content of total alkaloids and was 0. 486% in dq-3. There were significant correlations between agronomic characters, but these characters had low or non correlations with qualitative characters such as polysaccharides and total alkaloids. It was shown that the content of polysaccharides and total alkaloids were significantly different among 4 lines of D. denneanum, which could be selected for different uses.

Chinese Journal of Biotechnology 2021;37(2):689-695
Fermentation engineering is an industrial process that uses the transformation of microorganisms or other cells to produce a specific product in a specific bioreactor. Fermentation engineering has developed from an ancient food fermentation relying solely on experience accumulation to an important production mode of food, agriculture, medicine, chemical industry and other means of production and life. It has become a key technology to support the sustainable development of human beings, and is inseparable from the continuous progress of interdisciplinary technology. The interdisciplinary integration and the continuous upward movement of China's global industrial chain will inevitably put forward higher requirements for the cultivation of fermentation engineering composite talents in the new situation. In order to constantly improve the interdisciplinary fermentation engineering compound talent training system, in recent years, the research lab has been refining and improving the concept of talent training, and actively deepening the reform of talent training system. Systematic research and practice have been carried out around the aspects of training program, enrollment system, teacher background, subject setting, scientific research practice, evaluation system, etc., which has promoted the technological progress of fermentation engineering and related supporting industries, and contributed an important force to the transformation of China from a big fermentation country to a powerful fermentation country.

9.Development and high yield strategies of microbial-derived antibiotics in agriculture.
Chinese Journal of Biotechnology 2021;37(3):1032-1041
The development of high-efficiency, low-toxicity, and low-residue green pesticides is the main trend of pesticide research, and the microbial-derived antibiotics are one of the essential parts of green pesticides and play a significant role in agriculture. With the development of microbial genomics technology, metabolic engineering, high-throughput screening and other technologies, the research on new microbial-derived antibiotics has entered a new stage in agriculture. Here we briefly summarize the types of new microbial-derived antibiotics developed in agriculture over the past decade. We also introduce the research strategies for high-yield breeding and fermentation of antibiotic-producing strains in agriculture. This review may provide references for the future development of agricultural antibiotics.
