The Journal of Korean Academy of Prosthodontics 2000;38(1):26-37
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect that three resin indexing materials had on the distortion of split cast in the procedures of solder indexing and block fabrication. The specimen had two cylinders and connecting bar. Two cylinders were a reference cylinder and a test cylinder that were machined precisely and placed on metal base. The total of specimens wee 30 and they were divided into 3 groups according to the resin indexing materials : Acrylic solder , G-C Pattern resin , Z-100 . The relative coordinates (X, Y, Z) of centroids of both cylinders were measured by using 3-D coor dinates measuring machine. The value of indexing distortion was obtained after application of indexing material, and the value of the block distortion was obtained after fabrication of soldering block, and the value of total distortion was a value sum of indexing distortion and block distortion. Intercentroidal linear distortion({{{{ SQRT {X'^2 + Y'^2 +Z'^2 }- SQRT {X^2 + Y^2 +Z^2} }} }}) and global distortion {{{{rm SQRT {(X'-X)^2 +(Y'-Y^)2 +(Z'-Z^)2} }} }} were calculated from data of coordinates of centroids at each mea s u r ing stages. The results of this study were as belows ; 1. The intercentroidal distance between the split casts was reduced by indexing distortion and increased by block distortion. 2. The indexing global distortion between the split casts was smaller than block global distortion. 3. The intercentoidal linear distortion and the global distortion were no significant difference between indexing materials.

5.Blood pressure and some human index in Phu Vang district, Thua Thien Hue province
Journal of Practical Medicine 2000;383(6):28-31
An investigation of 2,310 persons (male: 9,280 in 6 communes in Phu Vang district, Thua Thien Hue provice has shown that hypertensives acounted for 11.34% especially persons with ages of 50 and older (86.09%). The hypertensive rate in Vinh Thai, Phu Da, Phu Thuan, Phu Hai, Phu My and Phu Xuan communes were 13.83%; 13.45%; 11.54%; 11.15%; 9.79% and 9.06%, respectively. The hypertensive rate was directly proportional with the body mass index (BMI) found in women. There was no this correlation in men.

6.Blood pressure index of 6-15 years old children in Can Tho province
Journal of Preventive Medicine 2002;12(1):19-23
This study was conducted with a sample of 1772 children aged 6-15 at elementary and junior high schools in CanTho province in order to identify the relationship between blood pressure and age, sex and nutrition. Results showed that: Blood pressure is in accordance with the function 80+2n (n: cumulative age) and diastolic blood pressure value is about 1/3 - 2/3 of systolic blood pressure. Weight and BMI are associated with hypertension. Age is associated with hypertension. Girls have higher hypertensive rate than boys.

Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2006;31(2):301-304
The mistakes in English abstracts of medical literatures influence the international communication of medical information. The misuse of words, grammar mistakes, and improper expressions are common problems. Moreover, nonstandard expressions also include the names of Chinese herbal medicines, numbers, punctuations, and so on.

Journal of the Korean Radiological Society 1995;33(1):147-151
PURPOSE: To develop an efficient journal searching program. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A graphic user interface oriented program was developed with Microsofts Access 2.0 and its Deveolper Tool Kit under the Windows system. The program needed four floppy diskettes {4.5 megabyte) for in stallment. With the author, title, journal name, volume and pages, index words, and abstracts from JKRS and JKSMU as the input data, the utility of the program was tested for its journal searching ability in 486 DX II with 8 megabyte main memory. RESULT: The author, titlie, index word, abstract, and variable queries were carried out from 3,200 articles within 13 seconds. The test of the program satisfied and useres, radiologists, and physicians. CONCLUSION: The program is recommended for seaching of journals as it is very eary to use and userfriendly.
