- Description Stomatology, established in 1981, has a history of more than 40 years and is the second comprehensive journal of stomatology in China. The journal is organized by the School of Stomatology of Nanjing Medical University, and supported by the School of Stomatology of Shandong University, School of Stomatology of Tongji University, Changzhou Stomatological Hospital of Jiangsu Province, Stomatological Hospital of Medical School of Zhejiang University, and Zhejiang Stomatological Association. Chief editor Professor Wang Lin has a Ph.D. in orthodontics, and is doctoral advisor. Editorial board of the journal is composed of experts and professors from all over the country, especially from the host organization, the joint organization, the West China Stomatology School of Sichuan University, Ninth People’s Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University Medical School, School of Stomatology of The Fourth Military Medical University and other well-known universities and institutions in China.
In 2003, the journal was included in source journals of Chinese scientific and technological papers and citations, and became the key magazine of China technology. It is also included by “Chinese S&T Journal Citation Reports”, “Chinese Academic Journal Comprehensive Evaluation Database”, “Chinese Science Citation Database”, “China Academic Journal”, Russian Abstract Journal (AJ), the United States Chemical Abstract (CA) and Japan science and technology agency database (JST), and other important databases at home and abroad. In recent years, it has successively won the award of “Excellent Journals in East China” and “Excellent Scientific and Technological Journals in Chinese Universities”. It has developed into a highly influential journal with great recognitionin the industry. The total score of comprehensive impact is ranked 7th-8th in the industry (21-24 journals in total), and is in the front rank of Q2 in Annual Report for Chinese Academic Journal Impact Factors .
Columns of Stomatology include basic research, clinical research, investigation and research, case analysis and review, etc. The journal follows the principle of combining theory with practice, popularization with improvement, and pays attention to both basic application research and practical experience. For papers subsidized by fund projects, a “green channel” is opened to give priority, and at the same time, research papers and experience with guiding significance to clinical practiceis also prioritized. In addition, the journal actively participates in academic exchanges and cooperation in stomatology, carefully selects a number of excellent topics, continues to build the academic publishing brand, demonstrates the value of academic communication, and strives to contribute to solving key problems in the field, seeking social consensus, making creative and innovative achievements, and enhancing cultural confidence. Every year, well-known experts in stomatology are invited to publish a series of reviews, such as “aesthetics and implant” and “digitization”, etc., in order to explain and analyze relevant technologies, provide ideas and guidance for researchers and clinicians in stomatology. Related Wechat posts have achieved more than 1,000 reads each.
Stomatology has been actively promoting digital publishing, making it available to readers online before the journal is published, and posting the latest journal contents on website. In addition to regularly publishing current contents and abstracts every month, our Wechat official account also collects articles on academic hot topics and arranges them into Wechat special columns, contributing to digital communication.
