- Abstract: Asperger syndrome is a developmental disorder characterized by difficulties in social interaction and communication. Dental treatment of patients with Asperger syndrome could be challenging due to lack of communication and compliance. This case report described the dental treatment of a patient with Asperger syndrome. A surgeon should be aware of the problems associated with patients with Asperger syndrome and how these can interfere in the surgical treatment. Communication is the key to successful dental treatment in a patient with Asperger syndrome.
