Abstract:
Objective To summarize nursing experience of pathological fracture of femoral shaft metastasis treated with external fixation and percutaneous bone cement injection, improve special nursing quality, and alleviate pain of patient effectively and improve whose life quality.Methods Performing psychological nursing for patients before operation, observing patients situation carefully after operation, nursing wound limbs, preventing complication and instructing functional exercise. Results The pain alleviated obviously in 13 patients after operation, no patient had complication in hospital period. 11 of 13 patients were followed up, which time were 2~14 months, and the pain disappeared in 9 cases, alleviated obviously in 2 patients. The patients could sit in wheelchair or walk with crutch. The patient life quality improved obviously. Conclusion Pathological fracture of femoral shaft metastasis treated with external fixation and percutaneous bone cement injection has the advantages of little expense and better analgesic effect. Early functional exercise can be instructed. The quality of life of the patients improved obviously through systemic individuation rehabilitation nursing.
