Abstract: With the rapid population aging in China, healthy elderly care has become a consensus of the whole society. As an important part of healthcare system, community health service plays a vital role in health maintenance and promotion for the elderly, and it is an extremely important foundation for realizing healthy endowment. In this article we summarize the status quo of home-based care for the aged, in which the community health service plays an important role, and also make suggestions for further improvement.
