- Abstract: Papillary muscle rupture, a complication of acute myocardial infarction, causes acute mitral valve regurgitation. However, to date, only a few articles have reported PMR associated with coronary spasm. In this article, we report the case of a 64-year-old woman who suffered posteromedial papillary muscle rupture caused by coronary spasm or Myocardial Infarction with Non-Obstructive Coronary Arteries (MINOCA), and was successfully treated with mitral valve repair.
