Abstract: Sarcopenia and hip fractures are musculoskeletal system diseases, which cause great harm to the health of geriatric population.As sarcopenia is receiving more and more attention in recent years, its relationship with hip fractures has been increasingly noted.The paper summarized the epidemiological evidences on the relationship between sarcopenia and hip fracture and investigated the possible etiologic mechanism by which sarcopenia triggers hip fractures.
