Abstract:
Bronchopulmonary dysplasia(BPD)is a common disease in preterm infants, with high disability rate and morbidity.Current researches on biomarkers of BPD mainly focus on genes, inflammatory factors and cytokines, aiming to improve the prognosis of the disease.Metabolomics analysis can identify changes of the metabolites caused by the interaction between gene expression and environment. It contributes to evaluating the comprehensive pathophysiological process of BPD, such as oxidative stress, pulmonary surfactant and microbial colonization, so that can early detect the disease. This article reviews the lately metabolomic studies on screening new biomarkers of BPD.
