Abstract:
Subclinical hypothyroidism (SH) is a category of disease based on laboratory tests, which total or free thyroid hormone is in the normal range, and thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) is mild or moderate above normal range disease. With the increasing incidence of subclinical hypothyroidism, the extrathyroidal effect of TSH has got more and more attention. Many studies have shown that adult who suffered SH are often associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease, but ignore what contribute to children's health outcomes. However, the problem whether subclinical hypothyroidism would cause adverse health outcomes in children still remains controversial.
