Abstract:
Objective:To understand the current status of global brain science research in the past decade, and to provide suggestions and reflections for promoting brain science research in China. Methods:The brain science research literature in WOS data was retrieved, and the publication year, institution, funding agency, citation frequency, and high cited literature data were exported and analyzed. Citespace was used to conduct co-citation analysis of brain science literature collected from WOS database, and visual analysis of subject categories and keywords was conducted. Results:A total of 6 067 articles were included. In recent years, the published literature and citation frequency have continued to increase. The United States has an absolute dominant position in this field. The literature is mainly distributed in neuroscience and other disciplines, and the research hotspots and trends are characterized by multidisciplinary intersections. Conclusion:We should have a clear understanding of the current state of brain science research, increase investment, make up shortcomings, and strengthen applied research and personnel training.
