Abstract:
Cardiovascular disease is a major cause of death in chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients. Left ventricular function plays an important role in cardiac function evaluation. Two-dimensional speckle tracking imaging (2D-STI) can evaluate the regional cardiac function, having high value in evaluating the left ventricle function. The progress of application of 2D-STI in left ventricular myocardial function in patients with CKD were reviewed in this article.
