Abstract:
Cryoablation can not only lead to tumor cell necrosis and apoptosis, but also release tumor-derived autoantigens into the blood circulation, stimulate the host's immune system to produce anti-tumor immune effects against primary and metastatic tumors. Tumor immunotherapy aims to treat tumors by actively or passively changing the function of host immune system. The research advances of cryoablation combined with immunotherapy for solid tumors were reviewed in this article.
