Abstract:
The diagnosis and treatment of peripheral neuropathies are often difficult. Common clinical examinations, such as nerve conduction studies and electromyography, can indicate the potential pathophysiological changes of peripheral nerve, but can not display the subtle changes of the nerve and surrounding structure. Magnetic resonance neurographic techniques, such as DWI, DTI and tractography, etc., can improve the accuracy of diagnosis of peripheral neuropathies. The application progresses of MRI in peripheral neuropathies were reviewed in this article.
