Abstract:
Objective: To study the secondary metabolites of Penicillium aurantiogriseum 299 from South China Sea. Methods: The metabolites of P. aurantiogriseum 299 were isolated by chromatographic techniques; The structures of compounds were eventually identified and confirmed on the basis of physicochemical properties, spectral data, and spectra of literatures published. Results: Four compounds were isolated from the mangrove endophytic fungus P. aurantiogriseum 299, and their structures were identified as aurantiogrisidinol a/b (1a/1b), 4-(2'-hydroxybutynoxy) benzoic acid (2), (S)-penipratynolene (3), and aurantiamine (4). Conclusion: Compound 1 is a new compound. Compound 2 is isolated from P. aurantiogriseum for the first time.
