Abstract:
In addilion to angiotensin II, angiotensin-(1-7) is another importarrt regulatory peplide of the renin-angiotensin system. It manly birds with a spediic receptor known as Mas, showing a vascijlar dilaSion and an ansi-proliferaSion effect, which counterbalances the effects of angiotersin H, mcluding VasoconstiiicSion, blood pressure mcrease, proliferaSion, \M\ne reteniion, etc. Recerrt studies demonstrate that angiotensin-(1-7) and its Mas receptor play aciiVe roles n local phyiiological process and showan protertive effect n many pathological condiSions.
