Abstract:
Abstract:In public health emergencies, children, as vulnerable groups, face more risks of lack of rights. Reasonable health communication can help protect children’s rights. Taking the COVID-2019 epidemic as an example, using children’s rights as the framework, and based on the classic "5W" theory of communication,this article systematically sorts out the diversity of the main body that propagate children health,the value of children ’s rights (49%) emphasized in the communication contents and the entire media characteristics highlighted in the communication channels after combing the relevant information about children found by the administrative media of China’s health and education administrative departments, some children’s related agencies, and the mainstream social media from January 22 to April 28 after the situation of some children infected in the epidemic was found.However, the importance of children as communication object was not enough(3%), and the communication effect had undergone a transition from negative to positive. Moreover, it also calls on children’s health communication institutions to pay attention to protecting children’s rights, improving their ability of propagate children’s health knowledge to the public and quality as medium.
