Abstract: Objective Cardiac arrest is a major problem that cannot be ignored both at home and abroad. So far, cardiac arrest survival rates are very low. Epinephrine has been used as a major cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) drug for more than half a century, but there are still many controversies about it, such as increasing the risk of malignant arrhythmia, reducing the long-term survival rate and good prognosis rate of neurological function. The history, mechanism and research progress of epinephrine in CPR is reviewed to provide a more comprehensive understanding of epinephrine and new ideas about epinephrine reasonable usage.
