Analysis of depression and anxiety status and related factors in patients receving postoperative chemotherapy for cervical cancer

- Abstract: OBJECTIVE: To investigate the status of depression and anxiety in postoperative chemotherapy patients with cervical cancer and to analyze related factors.METHODS: A retrospective analysis was made in 48 patients with cervical cancer who were treated from August 2015 to June 2018 in a Xuanwu Hospital,Capital Medical University were selected.All patients were treated with hysterectomy and postoperative chemotherapy and were investigated for depression and anxiety postoperatively,and clinical data and influencing factors were analyzed.RESULTS: All patients successfully completed surgery and chemotherapy,and there were no serious complications during or after surgery.The scores of depression and anxiety after chemotherapy were（46.40±5.30）points and（48.25±4.14）points,respectively in the 48 patients,the incidence of depression was 20.8%,and the incidence of anxiety was 22.9%.There were significant differences in the scores of depression and anxiety in the patients with different educational level,economic conditions,marital status,occupational status and morbidity（P<0.05）.The results of two-class Logistic regression analysis showed that the education level,economic conditions and marital status were the main independent risk factors for depression and anxiety in patients with postoperative chemotherapy for cervical cancer（P<0.05）.CONCLUSION: Depression and anxiety of postoperative chemotherapy patients with gynecologic cervical cancer are common,and the educational level,economic conditions and marital status are the main influencing factors.
