Abstract: This article introduces the combined application of vacuum sealing drainage (VSD) and chymotrypsin in the treatment of post-operative mandibular osteomyelitis. The lesion was washed by chymotrypsin (4000U) and saline (500 ml). VSD is effective in the treatment of traumatic mandibular osteomyelitis. This study investigates the effect of VSD combined with chymotrypsin in the treatment of patients with osteomyelitis after mandibular trauma. It is proved that it has a good effect in ensuring drainage, controlling infection and retaining internal fixation, and can create a good environment for fracture healing.
