Abstract:
Objective:To summarize the experience of respiratory tract management in a case of spinal muscular atrophy with neuromuscular scoliosis.
Methods:Respiratory tract nursing included prevention of pulmonary infection, inspiratory muscle training, rebuilding respiratory form before surgery, and assessment of sputum expectoration capacity, pain management, airway management after surgery.
Results:The patient was discharged without pulmonary complications.
Conclusions:For patient with breathing problem, respiratory tract management can prevent pulmonary complications during perioperative period.
