Abstract: Coronary heart disease is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Advanced age is associated with increased prevalence, morbidity and mortality of coronary heart disease. Older adults are at higher risk of complications and accelerated physical deterioration following cardiovascular events than youn-ger patients. In recent years, researchers have proposed that exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation is an im-portant part of the treatment of patients with coronary heart disease, especially contributing to the improve-ment of the quality of life of elderly patients. This review summarizes the current status and influence of car-diac rehabilitation on elderly patients with coronary heart disease.
