- Abstract: Ursolic acid (UA) is an active pentacyclic triterpenoid widely found in grass, leaves, flowers and fruits of plants, which is antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, hepatoprotective, immunomodulatory, anti-tumor, chemopreventive, cardioprotective and antihyperlipidemic and hypoglycemic. In paper, the ursolic acid structure, antitumor mechanism, PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway taking part in the process of colorectal cancer, and the regulation of PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway by ursolic acid in stopping the development of colorectal cancer was summarized.
