- Abstract: Understanding of "poison" of traditional Chinese medicine is not the same with modern toxicology and toxicity.Chinese medicine traditionally considered "poison" and "effectiveness" can be communicated with each other. "poison" can be said the therapeutical effect of drugs, also said the side effects of drugs. It is thought that with the therapeutic effect and toxicity, drug safety issues can be removed. With the combination of modern pharmacological toxicology and the research of traditional Chinese medicine has undergone a new development.
