Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the level of self-compassion and social support among secondary vocational nursing students, and to analyze the correlation between them. Methods:A total of 461 secondary vocational nursing students were investigated by using the Self-Compassion Scale (SCS) and Perceived Social Support Scale (PSSS) . Results:The mean score of nursing students' SCS and PSSS was (2.94 ± 0.83) and (5.46 ± 1.58), respectively. Scores of the total scale with were positively correlated with (r=0.450, P<0.01) . Conclusions:The self-compassion and social support of secondary vocational nursing students are at moderate level and are positively correlated with each other. It is necessary to enhance the self-compassion and social support of secondary vocational nursing students.
