Abstract: Objective:To test the effect of ginseng polysaccharides on anti?tumor activity. Method: The cell inhibitory rates were detected by MTT assay. Results: The starch?like glucan ( WGPN) and the AG type pectin ( WGPA?2?RG) had no effect on tumor cells, the AG+HG type pectin ( WGPA?4?RG) and the HG type pectin ( WGPA?3?HG, WGPA?1?HG) showed stronger effect on tumor cells. Conclusion:Different types of ginseng polysaccharides have different antiproliferation. A neutral fraction WGPN has no inhibition, while ginseng pectin exertes variable inhibition.
