Abstract: Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),which is a kind of irritable liver injury related to genetic and environmental factors,is considered as the manifestation of metabolic syndrome in the liver.Gut microbiota plays an important role in the intestinal environment.In recent years,increased numbers of studies have suggested that the imbalance of intestinal flora is closely related to NAFLD.This paper is to review the mechanism of gut microbiota in the pathogenesis and progression of NAFLD and to comment on gut microbiota-targeting new treatment of NAFLD by regulating the intestinal flora.
