Abstract:
Objective: To investigate the public willingness and attitude towards advance medical directives,discuss the specific content and put forward reasonable suggestions.Methods: Using questionnaire survey and in-dividual interview,a random survey was conducted among the residents in Guangzhou,and the data was analyzed by SPSS16.0 statistical method.Results: The choice of life sustaining therapy was related to the patient's course and needs,and according to the difference of specific therapy measures,there were differences in the choice of life sustaining therapy for the parties; the family was the primary candidate for the durable power of attorney,when the agent conflicted with the medical side,the patient preferred that both the two sides can reach a consensus; when it was necessary to change or withdraw advance medical directives,most of the respondents wished to change or with-draw advance medical directives in written form.Conclusion: The advance medical directives should specify the scope of the application of population,clarify the specific therapy measures,and fully combine actual needs of the parties; durable power of attorney should be further subdivided,and the agent should actively communicate with the doctor and make prudent decision.
