Abstract: Objective To explore the relationship between social support,self-esteem,and happiness and the demographic factors affecting happiness among hypertensive miners,in order to provide a scientific basis for improving their happiness and promoting physical and mental health.Methods A total of 640 hypertensive miners were investigated from the a coal group in Liaoning Province during the period from July 2015 to September 2015,with 523 (81.718％) actual respondents.Results Social support and self-esteem were positively associated with and had a significant predictive effect on the happiness of the hypertensive miners.Conclusion Social support and self-esteem effectively predict hypertensive miners' happiness.Therefore,it is important to improve hypertensive miners' social support and self-esteem to effectively improve their levels of happiness.
