Abstract:
Objective To examine the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the confidence after stroke measure(CaSM).Methods The reliability and validity of the Chinese version of CaSM were tested among 280 stroke patients in Jinzhou city. All the data were analyzed by SPSS20.0 and AMOS17.0.Results The Cronbach's α of the overall scale was 0.974,and that of subscales were 0.941,0.954,0.908,the Guttman split-half coefficient was 0.960,the retest reliability was 0.891.All the entries-total scores were significantly positive related (r=0.542-0.901,P<0.05),I-CVI were 0.830-1.000,S-CVI/UA was 0.815 and S-CVI/Ave was 0.969.Three-factors (self-confidence,positive attitude, social confidence) models were got by using exploratory factor analysis and the communalities of the items were 0.468-0.828.KMO was 0.938,explaining 70.731% variance.Confirmatory factors analysis showed that the fit indices were x2/df=2.5918,RMSEA =0.077,GFI =0.930,AGFI =0.902,TLI =0.927,IFI =0.943,NFI =0.911,CFI =0.943,standardized regression coefficient were 0.48-0.90.The criterion-related validity between CaSM and SSEQ was positively related (r=0.781,P<0.01).Conclusions The Chinese version of the CaSM is a reliable and valid instrument which can be used to measure the level of confidence after stroke in China.
