Abstract:
The application of DNA technologies has rendered DNA analysis an important tool since the DNA fingerprint technology has been reported. Nowadays, with the rapid development of next generation sequencing (NGS) technology, the ability of forensic DNA analysis has been greatly extended by incorporating bioinformatics technique with forensic application. This paper reviews the research status and application prospects of bioinformatics in genomics, epigenetics and transcriptomics related to forensic genetics.
