Abstract: Objective To study third party service needs of the medical device manufacturing enterprises,so as to provide references for the cultivation of relevant institutions and the promotion of medical device industry. Methods Through questionnaire and interviewing survey,the data on enterprises'demands for innovation and third party service were obtained and analyzed. Some solutions were proposed based on the analysis. Results Most of the medical device manufacturing enterprises were small in scale, and they had no corresponding ability and confidence although gained motivation for innovation and upgrading.The enterprises needed third party services while were not satisfied with the existing services,and they hoped that the government could provide more comprehensive services to support their innovation and upgrading. Conclusion The government has to strengthen testing, regulations consulting and etc and enhance third party service institutions from the aspects of mission,rules and mechanism so as to promote medical device industry.
