Abstract:
Objective To discuss the effect of PDCA quality control circle on the integrated management of the operating room and supply room.Methods An integration group was formed with 50 medical staffs related to the integrated management in some hospital as well as randomly sampled 200 surgical instruments and 200 sets of surgical instrument kits from October 2014 to September 2015,and No.1 management group was built with the same approach from October 2015 to September 2016.PDCA quality control circle was applied in No.1 management group.Statistical analysis was carried out on surgical instrument management and medical staff satisfaction in the operating room.Results No.1 management group behaved better than the integration group in cleanness of surgical instruments,qualification rate in instrument kit sterility testing and medical staff satisfaction,and the former had significantly lower incidence rates of infected incision and adverse events as well as shorter package time than the latter (P＜0.05).Logistic analysis showed that the independent factors for medical staff satisfaction included cleanness of surgical instruments,qualification rate in instrument kit sterility testing and adverse events of instruments (P＜0.05).Condusion PDCA quality control circle contributes to enhancing surgical instrument management,decreasing adverse events and improving medical staff satisfaction in the operating room.
