- Abstract: Primary cardiac angiosarcoma is extremely rare and its prognosis remains poor. We present a 61-year-old woman with angiosarcoma who was admitted with exertional dyspnea and considerable hemodynamic compromise. Computed tomography showed a large tumor in the right atrium and multiple liver metastases. The cardiac tumor invaded from the superior vena cava to the atrial septum. After the cardiac tumor was removed, the right atrium, the atrial septum and the superior vena cava were reconstructed with a bovine pericardial patch. The pathological diagnosis was angiosarcoma, and the cut-end was positive for sarcoma. The patient survived 14 months after surgery with the aid of adjuvant chemotherapy.
